After The Storm (chapter 45)

Chapter 45

Anna's POV

As I just stand in the snow, staring into the distance, Kristoff speaks up.

"What do we do now?" He asks.

I just shrug, and wipe my nose.

"Anna, please tell me what's wrong, you don't have to be embarrassed, it's only me and Sven." Kristoff says, and I look up at him.

I sigh, and I start to talk. "can't you figure it out, it's not that hard."

"I wouldn't know, I can't read what's on your mind." He states. That is true, but I don't really feel like talking about it right now.

"Please." He says desperately. I look into his eyes, and I can tell that he cares about what I have to say.

I sigh, again, and start to talk.

"It's just, I don't get why she got so mad at me, I was only trying to protect myself, and I wasn't trying to get Hans to kill her, I just didn't think before I spoke. and she didn't give me time to explain, she just went off, and now she's gone." I pause, as a tear rolls down my face. I quickly wipe it away, and continue to talk. "She just sometimes is hard to deal with. But when she's not like this, she's sweet, kind, and the best friend anyone could ask for. she is my sister, but she is the best friend I have ever had." I say, still tears running down my cheek. I don't bother to wipe them away, because to many are coming out.

I can see out of the corner of my eye, Kristoff looking down at me.

Suddenly, I feel something touching my back, but then I realize it's Kristoff's hand.

"It's ok, at least you have a sister, or a sibling." He says, looking down.

I gasp, realizing what I just said in front of him, and look up at him, shaking my head.

"Kristoff, I'm sorry I didn't kn...." He cuts me off.

"It's ok, I'm used to it." He says, looking at me. "I have Sven, and the trolls." he adds with a smile, and I can't help but smile back.

"So... should we try and find her?" Kristoff asks.

I shrug, and begin to talk.

"Maybe, but where would she be?" I ask back.

"I don't know, she could be anywhere." Kristoff says.

I let out a huge sigh in disbelief, and tears start welling in my eyes again. No, Anna stop. Were gonna find her.

Apperantly, Kristoff saw the tears in my eyes, because he put his arm around me.

"Everything will be fine." he says, and I smile down at my feet.

I believe him, but deep down inside, I still think that she isn't going to be safe.... at all.
