After The Storm (chapter 54)

Chapter 54

Elsa's POV

I hugged Anna tightly, and didn't let go for a long time. After a while, Kristoff came back into the room and walked up to me. I looked up at him, and he was looking down. He then looked up at me, and his eyes were red, probably from crying.

I looked down from him, and hugged Anna again, putting my head on her shoulder. I started sobbing again.

"I miss you already.. please come back..." I whisper, and break from the hug. I look back up at Kristoff, and he looks down at me.

He holds his arms out, as if to give me a hug, and I walk towards him, and hug him.

"I'm sorry... for what happened." he said.

"It's not your fault, it's mine," I pause in between sobs. "I was the one who froze her heart..." I say.

We break away from the hug, and Kristoff starts to talk again.

"You didn't mean to freeze her heart, and I should've, ya know, thawed her heart before she came here..." his voice trails off.

"What do you mean?" I ask, wiping my tears away.

"You know, 'only an act if true love can thaw a frozen heart' but I was just... too scared I guess." he said looking down.

"Kristoff, you don't have to be scared... you have kissed her before, remember?" I stated.

"Yeah, but... I don't know..." he stopped.

"What?" I ask, as if to tell him to go on.

"I'm just not sure she loves me the way I love her." he says.

"Oh come on! she talks about you all the time!" I chuckle. He starts to laugh too. He is like a brother to me. But now he is the only thing close to family I have left...

"We should probably go, I don't want to see her like this..." I say and Kristoff nods.

We both walk towards the exit of the room, but I turn around once more.

"I guess this is goodbye...." I say, facing Anna.

"You'll always be in my heart..." I say, and turn back around.

Kristoff and I both walk down the first flight of stairs, then the second flight.

Once I step down from the last step, I turn to look up just to make sure Anna didn't unfreeze, but nothing is there.

I guess she is dead this time...

I turn back around, and put my head down. Then Kristoff speaks up.

"I'm gonna go check on Sven." he says, and I nod.

Once he walks out the doors, and down the stairs outside the front, the doors slam shut, and echo through the ice palace.

Right as I reach for the door, I hear a faint voice...

"Elsa?....."
