After the storm (chapter 12)

Chapter 12

Anna's POV

As I walk out of Elsa's room, my chest throbbing in pain, I go back to my room.

Once I get in my room, I close the door right behind me, and slide down the door hugging my chest.

I burrow my head into my knees, and start to tear up.

Why is it hurting so bad?

Then I remember, last year when Elsa struck me on accident. maybe It damaged one of my ribs? noooo... it would've hurt right away.

What could it be?

A single tear slides down my face.

I wipe it before it reaches my cheek, and I cough.

Ouch! I start to sob. apparently, when I cough, it hurts even worse.

I decide to stand up, and limp over to my bed. I get under the covers, and curl up in a ball. As I sob into my pillow, I wonder about Elsa. She has been acting weird lately, not like herself. Ever since we left the trolls, she has been acting all distant and quiet. I'm scared because I don't want her to be like she was last year, and the years before that. I want her to be like a real sister, a sister that cares about you and talks to you about life. Not only a sister, but a best friend.

After a while, I close my eyes...and drift into a deep sleep.

When I wake up, I don't feel any signs of chest pain, knock on wood.

I get up from my bed and walk towards the window. Again, there are people standing outside, waiting for Elsa to wake up.

I walk down the hallway to her room, but she isn't in there.

I walk to the stair case, jump on the railing, and slide down. even if I'm not in a good mood, that's how I will always get down the stairs.

When I get to the bottom, I don't see or hear anyone, so I decide to look outside.

When I get to the doors, I crack one of the doors open, and stick my head through, because I don't want anyone to see me in my nightgown.

I look around a bit, then I spot Elsa, doing her magic, that she does every morning as usual.

I close the door and feel a pain, straight up through my body. ouch!

I go back upstairs to my room, and sit near the window.

I wrap my hold my hands together, and I feel that they are burning hot. I take them apart and shake them, that almost burnt my hands! What is happening to me?
