Chapter 37

"You're pretty cute for a nurse"
Is he for real? Everything was going so friendly between me and him and now is he going to start flirting with me? A nurse? Maybe.. maybe he just said that because he's bored or maybe he's being extra nice so we can officially make up from our first encounter... yeah! That's it! Just being extra nice to make sure I forgive him...

-The next day -
As I finished changing I got out of the bathroom and made my way towards the door to the hall, but as I opened the door from the bathroom I saw Suho across the hall, he stared at me for about two seconds then made his way towards me.. oh shit.

"HEY Y/N!" He said loud enough for me to heard.

I start to increase my walking speed towards the hall

"Y/N WAIT UP!"

I pretended I didn't hear anything and right on time I opened the door, once I closed it I sprinted somewhere far, I was done with his bullish*t or whatever he has to say to me, he just wouldn't stop trying to take my time for him.

As Suho opened the door he realised no one was across the hall, he gritted his teeth "why is she ignoring me-"

As usual I would go towards Taehyung and jungkook if I see them quiet, but this time I felt nervous in a way.. I decided to shake it off and carry on, just act cool Y/N.. it's nothing to overthink about.

"Taehyung!" I said happily while walking to him. He put on a big smile when he saw me as usual, one of the reasons why my day became bright and positive.

"Y/N!!" I smiled back, I looked over at jungkook who was staring at me deeply as if he was looking right into my soul. "J-jungkook ha.. hi" he smirked at me and nodded.

"Guess what! guess what!" Taehyung said to me while hopping up and down.
"oh my, you seem excited!" I giggled.
"Of course I am!"

"Dude please stop jumping you're embarrassing me" jungkook scoffed at him.

Taehyung ignored what he said and continued "My sister! She's coming today!"
"REALLY? That's amazing! I'm so happy for you, finally you get to talk to her after a while!" He nodded.

"And I can finally give her the bracelet you helped me make!"
"She will really love it tae! I'm a hundred percent sure!"
"Well yeah but you helped me make it.." he said.

Us three began to have a conversation which lead to another, jungkook acted as if nothing happened yesterday, he acted the same as any other day, so why was I the one making it a big fuss in my head?

There was announcement around the building with a speaker that Taehyung should walk to the greeting room. He waved at both of us goodbye while skipping to where his sister was.

It was only me and jungkook now, there was an awkward silence between us for about ten seconds until I decided to break it "well.. I should get going because you know.. do my job.." I said.

"yea yeah!... sure I get you! Um no not literally get you I mean.. I understand you.. uh.. okay I should leave you haha" he awkwardly walked away, wanting to slap himself a thousand times for whatever the hell he just spilled out.

-an hour later-
It was lunch so my job was to be at the cafeteria and keep an eye on the patients, I noticed jungkook was sitting by himself, he was stabbing his chicken over and over with his chopsticks, he had a look on his face.. it looked very dark.

I was concerned so I quickly went up to him and grabbed his hand gently.

He stopped when he finally came to his senses, he turned his head to the side to realise it was me who was holding his hand, I was literally inches away from his face.

"jungkook... is something the matter..?" I asked him.

He shook his head slowly "n-no nothing.. I'm fine okay" he gently lifted my hands away from his and began to bite on his stabbed chicken piece to get rid of evidence.

I sat beside him and smiled "so.. where is Taehyung? Isn't he supposed to be eating with you?" I asked. He shook his head "he's with his sister remember"
"oh.. I forgot..."

He continued to eat.

He seemed a little bothered by something "am I annoying you? Il go-" I said as I got up but I felt a grip as he grabbed my arm

"no, you're not.. stay a little longer"
