First Love [Luke Hemmings]

Chp 2

Luke's POV

I didn't really get a good look of Anne when Julie introduced us but when she extended her arm out I looked at her clearly &she was beautiful.

She was wearing a white dressy like shirt with a black sweater on top, black leggings &a pair of Aldos. She looked fancy. Her hair was caramel color but you were able to see her black roots, she had nice heart shaped lips &her eyes were a beautiful brown.

"Sorry Luke but Anne is weird in some way" I hear Julie making me come back to reality. I hear her talk about my schedule to either me or Anne, I don't really know.

"You have choir?" I heard Anne with a shock impression.

"Um yeah, their weren't any other electives open" I lied. I play the guitar &sing but I didn't want her to know that, not even Julie knows. I hear Anne talking but I didn't really much pay attention to her, I didn't want to seem like I'm interested.

"Um Luke, you coming?"

"Yeah" I tell her as I remembered that we have choir together.

Walking towards class was quiet, I didn't know how to start a conversation with her.

"Here we are" she smiles as she opened the door.

"Sit here okay, I'll be right back" she tells me pointing at a empty seat, I see her walking towards the teacher. as she talks to the teacher I notice that she is very happy or something. she is always smiling &saying Hi to everyone.

"Okay um, well I made you my partner if that is okay?" she smiles at me "when you settle in the class you can switch if you like"

"It's fine thanks" I gave her a little smile.

"You don't talk much do you?" she looks at me as she sits.

"Well I don't know you that well" but I want too

"It's fine, but you will since I'm your cousins best friend" she gives me a huge smile.

"I guess" I give her a little laugh but then get interrupted by the teacher.

"Okay everyone partner up, today we are starting a project. You have 2 choices: 1. Sing a duet with your partner or 2. Both of you sing a different song. you all have to participate! It's due in next week okay, on Friday. get started!"

"Well I guess this gives me an excuse to get to know you better" I smile at her.

"Yeah I think so" she smiles back at me, she pulls out her ipod &start skimming thru her music.

"You want to do a duet or sing by ourselves?"

"Well you want to get together tomorrow so that we can decided?"

"Yeah that sounds great, Can I-"

"Hey Anne"

I was about to ask for her number till he interrupted me.

"Hey Luis" she looks up at Luis & she had a huge smile on her face "Um Luis this is Luke, Jewels cousin" she points at me.

"Hey, what's up"

I just give him a quick nod &focus on Anne, but she seems to focused on him.

"So Anne I was wondering if you wanted to hang out tomorrow? you know"

"Umm" her face expression completely changed from happy to confused "um I cant, I'm hanging out with Luke" she weakly smiles at me.

"Alright then, um I'll text you later then?"

"Yeah sounds good" he gets up from his chair and hugs Anne but then kisses her cheek. She kisses his cheek back with her face expression still confused. Were they something?

"I'm sorry Luke, what were you saying?"

"Um nothing"

Anne's POV

"Omg Jewels, Luis kissed me on the cheek today" I told her as we went to our usual bench at the park.

"What!?" she practically yells.

"Yeah he sat next to me in choir &when he got up he hugged me &kissed me! I was like 'WTH!'" I laughed

"Anne you still like him huh?" she looked at me serious.

"Jewels, it's been 2 months since we broke off whatever we had, &we didn't talk for those 2 months because he stopped going to practice &because he was with his girlfriend the whole time"

"With his girlfriend!?"

"Julie don't act shocked okay! I told you that he had a girlfriend the time we were together or whatever. I just knew that I was going to be nothing then just the other woman to him so I decided to stop what we had. Gosh I always have to tell you the story!" I looked at her annoyed

"Anne what if he wants to be with you know that he is single? Will you let it work out?"

"I thought about that but he cheated on his girlfriend with me, once a cheater always a cheater Jewels."

"I guess Anne but I think you should give him a chance..."

Ugh what is she saying! first she gets mad at me because I was with Luis when he had his girlfriend, then she gets upset because I broke it off &now she wants me to get with him? ugh what a weird friend she is. I wonder if Luke is the same? Ohh Luke!

"It's obvious he still likes you.."

"Can I have Lukes number?" I ask her as she is mid way towards her speech.

"Why do you want his number?" she looks at me confused "are you going to use him as a rebound?!"

"No are you crazy! we have a project &we are suppose to meet up tomorrow but I didn't get his number" &i want to talk to him but I'm not telling you that.

"Yeah okay, here" she hands me her phone so that I can copy it to mine.

"Thanks" I tell her as I start Txing Luke
