First Love [Luke Hemmings]

Chp 9

Luis POV

I've stayed up the whole night looking for treatments for Anne but they are mostly in the states &they are experimental but I'll do anything to help her.

"Hey Luis..." I turn around & saw Anne walking towards me.

"What are you doing here?"

"Well the real question is why are you here? In my locker?" she laughed while she pushed me away.

"Oh sorry about that" I chuckled "um I've been wanting to talk to you about something" I tell her.

She probably knows what I'm going to talk about. She started to look more nervous as she got her books out

"About what?" she smiled trying to hide her nervous tone.

"Anne I found these treatments, they are experimental but they can help. Look I got-"

"Luis I already told you, nothing can be done" she says as she closes her locker.

"Then why did you tell me? I thought you wanted help?"

"I had to tell someone Luis, I couldn't just live with it without telling anyone" she gets closer to me &caresses my face "I love you for hearing me out &for trying to help me but it's done"

It's done..

She tried hiding her watery eyes by yawning. a thing she does to make it look like she wasn't crying.

"Walk me home today okay, &we will watch movies, eat, or even study okay" she laughed "just like the old times" she smiled back at me &started walking to our first period.

Why hasn't she told Luke yet? how can I sit there knowing that he doesn't know anything?

"What were you talking to her about Luis?" I hear. I turn around &see Luke behind me.

"Nothing why?" I tell him as I get my back pack from the ground &start heading to class.

"Because she had her hands on your face. I thought she was going to slap you" he laughed

"I know you don't like me Luke but Anne means a lot to me &you won't stop me from talking to her. She isn't your girlfriend either. I won her by my charms &i bet that I can easily win her back"

"Is that a bet?" he smirked

"No it isn't" I looked at him "Anne is too fragile. I won't bet on her &neither will you because you aren't that type of guy who plays with girls emotions &then dumps them, or are you?"

"No I'm not" he got closer to me "I was just making sure you aren't either" he whispered to me as he started walking to class "but it seems that you were since you had a girlfriend" he said as he walked leaving me standing next to the Anne's locker.

He is right. if I did make a bet with him I was forsure going to win because I already know Anne. I know what makes her knees weak, I know what makes her smile &cry, I know her better then she knows herself. she is amazing but I took her for granted &hi lost her.

I walk inside our class & I see Anne talking to Luis &Luke. She looks so happy seeing Luke play the guitar &rehearsing the song she is going to sing with Luis. I love her but why did she have to tell me? I lost her once but I won't loose her again.

Luke's POV

"Hey Anne you want me to walk you home?" I looked at her while she put her books away. she looked so beautiful with her hair up. I was able to see the full shape of her beautiful face, &her hair made her brown eyes pop more behind her glasses.

"No it's fine, Luis is walking with me today" she smiled as she put her last book in "aren't you going to practice with Michael, Calum, &Ashton today?"

"Yeah I am but I could always get to Ashton's place a little late. let me just walk you home Anne"

"Luke it's fine okay, Luis is walking with me. I told him too this morning" she scrambles through her backpack looking for something while holding her water bottle "&besides I don't want you to get to rehearsal late" she smiled at me as she swallowed something, a pill.

"What is that?" I ask her as I try to get the pill bottle but she puts it away "let me see it"

"They are just my medications Luke, don't worry, well I have to go see Luis now &probably visit Jewels too" she gave me a quick kiss on my cheek &started walking away.

"She isn't your girlfriend either"

"Anne wait!" I ran after her

"Yeah?" she looked so beautiful turning around while the sun hit her from behind, kinda like in a movie.

"I want to ask you something, & I'm hoping you will say yes"

"Um okay?" she laughed looking confused.

"You know I'm always starring at you right?"

"Yeah &it kinda gets annoying" she laughed

"I notice so many things about you. Like pulling up your hair because you don't like it getting on your face, scrunching up your nose when something or someone annoys you, even doing duck lips when you are bored. I know that when you are about to cry you yawn so that I can think you are sleepy, I know you still get headaches that's why you drink your pill" I pointed at her bag "I know much more but it's such a long list" I laugh "well I just wanted to ask you is if you want to be my girlfriend?"

She gave me a blank expression, while she stared at me. Crap! what if she says no? what if she still likes Luis? I just want her to be mine so that she can stop taking to him.

"Really Luke?"

Great that's a no

"I guess that's a no?"

"No Luke, I just thought that I already was" she smiled &kissed me "I'll tx you later okay"

"You are still going with him?"

"Yeah Luke, I'll talk to you later" she said as she walked towards the exit.

I start walking towards Ashton's house but all I'm thinking is about Anne &Luis. I know Luis still likes Anne, &Anne liked him a lot when they were dating &even after they stopped. I trust Anne but I don't trust Luis. He knows her much more then I do &he can easily win her back, but I won't let him. Anne is mine now, &ill make sure of it
