First Love [Luke Hemmings]

Chp 12

Luke's POV

I've been meaning to talk to Anne about what happened last night. I didn't mean to agree to break up it's just that, it was too much to handle. I was waiting for her next to her locker this morning but she wasn't there. Her doctors appointment was after school so why would she miss? Well honestly if I was her I would miss school so that she won't see me. I can't even see myself after what happened last night. I love her too much to ever let her go.

"Luke are you going to sit with us?" Michael asked as he passed my locker

"Um no, not today" I gave him a small smile as I walked towards the cafeteria

"Are you going to practice then?" Calum asked from behind me

"No! I bet he is gonna stock his girlfriend" Ashton clearly joked but I couldn't handle it.

"I'll see you guys later" I told them as I left. I entered the cafeteria &scanned the tables for Julie which I found in our usual table.

"Julie" I waved at her.

She gave me a weak smile while she waved back. I haven't seen or talked to her for a few days &she changed a lot. she was whiter then usual, she had dark circles under her eyes, her eye lids were swollen &her eyes red as if she was crying.

"Jewels? what's wrong?" I asked her as I pulled up a chair next to her.

"Anne called me last night &told me you 2 got in a fight" she looked at her hands as she played with her fingers "&&she blamed me for it" she gave me a weak smile "it's my fault" she started to cry.

"What did she tell you?"

"You know what she told me Luke"

"We talked about so many things last night Jewels-"

"Only Anne can call me Jewels" she cut me off "but she told me that I told you that she is cheating on you with Luis. to all honestly I knew you were going to tell her something, so I lied"

Lied?

"Lied? what do you mean lied??"

"I haven't talked to her because she would do things &not even tell me. like your relationship I found out by Luis, Luis the one she is singing with. a freaken Junior Luke! supposedly I'm her best friend &she doesn't tell me anything. I let my feelings get to me so I decided to lie"

"Julie why the hell would you do that!" I raised my voice at her but then realized that I gathered stares to our table "she wanted or actually broke it off between us because you made me believe all these things" I lowered my head as I lowered my voice "why?"

"I was jealous okay" she looked at me "you come here from Australia &take my best friend away from me. Knowing her I thought she was just going to ask me if I was saying anything & we would talk it off &tell each other how we feel, but instead she calls me &tells me what you said &then when I try to explain it to her she tells me that she doesn't need this in her life &hung up on me. &&you know what that means in Anne Language??"

"Um no" I looked at her confused. I don't really know Anne that well as Julie does so she is still kinda complicated "what is it?"

"It means to Fuck Off &leave her alone" she started to get teary eyed "I didn't want that to happen Luke. I -"

She was cut off by the sound of the bell signaling that lunch has ended.

"Look Julie, I'm going to talk to her again today. I'll settle everything. I promise"

"How are you going to talk to her? she is still mad at you I bet"

She was right. Anne is still mad at me, maybe that's why she didn't come to school, but I'll know once I go to the doctors office.

"I have my way Julie" I hugged her as she got up the table "I promise"

I arrived at Anne's doctor around 4:30 &saw Isaacs magnum so I know she is still in there. I didn't want to risk Anne seeing my car so I parked at the 7/11 across the street. I bought myself a bag of chips &an Arizona to pass the time. my phone started to vibrate & I saw the caller ID &it was Calum.

"Hey Calum"

"Hey Luke, I just talked to your choir teacher"

"&&?"

"He said that you &Luis haven't picked out a song yet, &we need it to practice"

Shit. I totally forgot about the choir project.

"Ughh Calum I totally forgot about it"

"Get your head out of your ass Luke! It's been almost a week"

"I know, I know. don't worry I'll have it by Saturday. okay?"

"You better Luke. I'll see you Saturday"

"Shit" I mumbled to myself as I hung up on Calum. I've been busy with accusing Anne cheating on me with Luis that I forgot about the project &that Luis is my partner.

Fucking great.

I'm such a terrible person for even accusing Anne. Fuck Julie for lying to me. Fuck!

I look towards Anne's doctor &i noticed Isaacs magnum is gone. I check my time &its already 5:15. I start my engine &drive towards her doctors &park my car where Isaacs magnum was.

"May I help you?" The receptionist who looked well into her 30's asked me.

"Yeah um I here to see Dr. M" I told her as I gave her the paper the Isaac gave me.

"Go all the way to end of the hall &its on your right"

"Thank you"
