Chapter 17

~~~3 years later~~~
Fluttershy just got home from a recent photo shoot and sat down at her table, looking through some magazines online on her MacBook. As she was looking through them, her iPhone that was on the table beside her MacBook started ringing. Fluttershy looked over to it and saw that it said 'Army Military 021' but she answered it anyway. She pressed the green button on the phone and held it up to her ear.
"Hello?"
"Fluttershy?!"
"Rainbow?!"
"Fluttershy, listen to me, I don't have much time"
"What's wrong, and what's that noise in the background it sounds like a lot of wind"
"Fluttershy i hope you can take this easy but.."
"But what?"
"I'm not coming home...ever"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, I'm about to d-...*sigh*"
"About to what?!"
"Fluttershy, I'm about to die!"
"...what?!"
"Something happened and I'm flying this huge airplane that was hijacked and there is no place to land it, I'm in the arctic and the plane is broken, I'm gonna crash in the ice"
"Are you serious?"
"Yes I am and I called to say goodbye" (Fluttershy started to cry)
"..Y-Your...so this is it"
"Fluttershy, I-I...I love you..so much"
"I-I...I love you too Rainbow" (Fluttershy began sobbing)
"You know what"
"..What"
"Save me a dance"
"What?"
"When I see you again, save me a dance"
"But I won't be able to see you Rainbow, you'll be d-dead"
"Just save me one"
"....o-okay, don't be late"
"Don't worry I wo-"
The line was cut off. Two beeps were heard from the voice as the operator spoke into the phone.
"Line Disconnected"
At that moment, Fluttershy dropped her iPhone and started crying, she cried so much that she was shaking a lot. She was waiting for Rainbow since the last time they saw each other. She cried into her arms as her make-up began to run down her face. She sat there for about a hour, non-stop crying. When she stopped crying, she still sat there, looking the MacBook screen that was now turned off, looking at her reflection. She went onto her laptop and scrolled through old high school and random photos from when her and her friends, including Rainbow, were still freshmans. As she was scrolling through them, she saw photos of Rainbow when they were at the wedding a few years ago. But then...but then, there was one photo that she started balling her eyes out at, a photo of Rainbow before he got the injection, seeing how small he was and different he was but yet the same, she put her hand to the screen. She put her hand on the screen part where Rainbow's heart was. She started crying even more.
"..w-why did you have to go?" Fluttershy whispered to herself through her sobs.

~~~ 7 years later~~~

Fluttershy was now 31 years old, almost 32. Along with her friends, he still kept close in touch with her best friends. Pinkie Pie was now married, so as Twilight. Applejack and Rarity broke up and reconnected a few times but for now, they had a good relationship and were planning on taking a step further in they're relationship. For Fluttershy that is, she was now currently single but before she was dating a man about 1 year ago, he was nice and didn't abuse her at all like Rick did, but it didn't work out so they broke up. Fluttershy got over Rainbow's death about 3 years ago, it took her a while to get over it but when someone would bring it up, she would tear up a bit. Fluttershy was still working her modelling job too. She just finished a photo shoot today for Spring season which is the season that it currently was.

    She came back home after work and put her rain jacket on the hook since it was raining today, she then put her purse on the table and sat at her countertop table, pulling her new MacBook Pro out of her bag. She was looking online for new clothing to buy. As she was scrolling, her phone rang from her purse as Fluttershy grabbed her purse to take out her iPhone. When she did, it was a number that she hasn't seen in a long while: 'Army Military o21'. When she saw the person calling, she immediately had a flashback to the day when Rainbow died. Her eyes started watering a bit at the thought but then pressed the green button and brought the phone up to her ear.
"Hello?"
"Hi is this Fluttershy Breeze?"
"Yes, who is this?"
"I'm Dylan Markus from the Army Military 021, about 7 years ago, you and a special soldier had been in a relationship, am I correct?" (Fluttershy listened carefully)
"And this special solider is?"
"Captain Dash, or Rainbow Dash" (Fluttershy made a small gasp)
"...Y-Yes"
"Well, we've made a recent discovery of something that happened the first time in history, and we thought you deserved to know"
"What discovery?"
"Ma'am, Our research team was hiking up in the arctic mountains and recovered a massive flight carrier"
"Okay"
"In the plane, most of everything was frozen inside but they've found..."
"Found what?"
"They found Rainbow Dash's body with his shield" (Fluttershy gasped again as she began to cry a bit)
"...is that all you needed to tell me?"
"N-No, you might be shocked at first but just stay calm"
"I'm calm"
"Fluttershy, as we were breaking the ice around Rainbow's body, his heart was still beating."
(Fluttershy widened her eyes and gasped, she was completely shocked at what she had just been told)
"What?!"
"Yes, and he is alive, he is still healthy from being under the ice for so long, he needed major nutrients injected into him but overall, he's still strong like he used to be" (Fluttershy gasped again)
"Am I able to see him?"
"Yes you are, there will be a Army visitation get together in 3 days at Cinakin Centre at 8:00pm and you will be able to see him there, and just in case if you were gonna ask, dress casual but in a way your sophisticated"
"O-O-Okay"
Fluttershy stuttered form both excitement and utter shock.
"See you there"
"Okay"
Then she hung up. She was still shocked at what she'd just been told over the phone. She closed her laptop and stared at the table for a while, thinking at how Rainbow could still be alive.
