A/N: Rainbow Dash and Applejack are both guys in this story

It was an early Monday morning in the middle of November. A weak and short boy with Rainbow hair known as Rainbow Dash, walks up towards the front of the CHS, his local high school. He was in grade 11 and had 5 other best friends, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle. Rainbow walked up to his group.
"Hey guys" Rainbow said, standing next to Fluttershy. Rainbow was in love with Fluttershy, his best friend since grade 8. Rainbow had started to get feelings for her as a sophmore then those feelings had grown more everyday since then. But Rainbow knew that he wouldn't have a chance with Fluttershy. Rainbow thought that Fluttershy would never want to date a weak guy like Rainbow, but Fluttershy did sort of start to have feelings for Rainbow but she would always ignore those feelings and push them aside.
"Hey Rainbow" Fluttershy said with a smile, making Rainbow blush.
"I'm so scared for today" Pinkie said, making all of her friends remember that today was not a normal day for most schools. It was in fact very different today. Today the army was coming to their school to choose 4 students to be in a special program called "Hormone Injection Project". It was when the students would be forced to drop out of school and join the army and train there for about 3 weeks and then start the injections. The injections are only to be used on one person that will be chosen, that person would have to show leadership, initiative, loyalty and braveness. They will also have to take life risks if they want this injection. The injection will increase the human strength a lot more than the strongest machines on earth, causing whom ever to get this injection to be the most strongest person on earth. This injection will also have an affect on how the person looks, they will be more muscular and taller.
"It's not that bad" Rainbow said
"Oh yeah and what if they pick you to go?" Applejack said. Rainbow hesitated for a second, what if they did really pick him, he wouldn't be able to see Fluttershy for who knows how long.
"I-Id go!" Rainbow said, trying to prove that's he's emotionally not weak. Fluttershy frowned
"Yeah sure" Applejack said sarcastically. The bell then rang and the students all went inside. When they went inside, the whole 11th grade class were all ordered to line up in the main foyer. As they all lined up, there was 3 people that looked liked they were in the army, 2 men and 1 woman. One of the men had a clipboard in his hand with a paper held onto it. On that paper printed 4 names, the 'chosen ones'.
The man walked down the line of students and picked out the first one, a boy, then he picked out a boy, then another boy. As he was coming closer to Rainbow Dash he stopped in front of him. Looked at him up and down then said "for the last one, you" he said before walking back to the front of the school. Rainbow's friends crowded around him with surprised faces, even Rainbow was surprised still.
"Woah Rainbow, your going to the army" Applejack said. Rainbow was staring at the floor.

Oh no! Why would he choose me? I'm weak and small, a person never fit to go to the army. And I can't see Fluttershy everyday anymore! This is terrible. I will never succeed there being this weak. Rainbow thought

Rainbow was panicking on the inside, while on the outside, he was staring at the floor. Then finally the man came back in.

"The students I chose, come over here" He said, Rainbow nervously walk over. He handed them a paper with everything they needed and what time they needed to leave, which was in 2 days. Rainbow then came back to his group of friends and they asked him what the paper read.
"I, I-I uh, have to leave in 2 days" Rainbow said, looking at the paper. His friends all looked at each other with sad, surprised faces.
"..it's okay Rainbow" Fluttershy said, putting a hand on Rainbows shoulder. Rainbow put the paper down.
"...I'll see you guys later" Rainbow said, walking away from his group of friends.

Rainbow had left already to the army, along with the other 3 students that went.

~~~ 1 year and a half later ~~~

It was now grade 12 for Fluttershy and her friends, they were gonna graduate soon. It turns out Fluttershy was more devistated than she thought she'd be, but she had learned to get over it over the past time Rainbow was gone. It was an average Thursday at CHS as Fluttershy exited her 2nd class of the day, she saw her group of friends by the wall. She walked over to them.
"Hey guys, did you guys hear about 3 period class starting later?" Fluttershy asked
"Yeah we did, I don't know why, they usually don't do this" Applejack said
"All students report to the main foyer" Principal Celestia said through the speakers around the school.
"What's going on?" Rarity asked as students were starting to walk to the main foyer.
When they arrived the walked to the sides of the room and saw the teachers and Principals there, something was going on but the students didn't know what.
"This 'something' must be important".Twilight said. They waited a few minutes there, hearing the sounds of the students chatting. Then the sound of the front doors of the school opened.
The group except Fluttershy widened their eyes at who came in, but Fluttershy was looking the opposite was so she was facing her body away from the door. When Fluttershy noticed they had this surprised look on their faces and looking towards the front door, she raised her eyebrow.
"What's wrong?". Fluttershy asked, Pinkie then pointed her hand towards the door and Fluttershy looked back. When she saw who came through the door and was full of shock but couldn't help but have a blush appear on her face. All of the other students were surprised too. It was Rainbow Dash, but he looked completely different but yet the same. He was now taller and waaaayyy more muscular. His hair was cut to a more nicer hair style. He had a uniform that was red and dark blue and was carrying a circular shield that was red and blue too, with a silver star in the middle. Rainbow was walking through the school along with a few other soldiers that were wearing army green behind him. Rainbow then went up to Principal Celestia, now Rainbow was slightly taller than her. They were both having a serious conversation.
"That's Rainbow Dash", Applejack said.
"How the hell did he get taller and fit in a year?", Rarity said
"Something scientific must of happened", Pinkie said
"Wait wasn't the program called hormone injection program?, clearly he was injected with a certain type of steroid that turned him into-", Twilight was cut off by Fluttershy
"A really muscular, cute and amazing Rainbow Dash" Fluttershy accidentally blurted out. Her friends were giggling.
"Oooo, Fluttershy, your in love with him still", Pinkie said, Fluttershy just blushed. Rainbow then left Principal Celestia and ordered some army soldiers to different parts of the school, was something bad gonna happen?
