It was all blurry as my eyes were slowly trying to adjust to the piercing lighting of the vicious sun rays.

Using every bit of strength I had left I sat up on our bed and turned back to check the time on my bedside.

12:15pm.

Viv scheduled my appointment for 1:30. I dragged my self over to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face since I had already taken a shower last night before grabbing a clean t-shirt and dark jeans from my closet.

I grabbed a bottle of water from the shopping bag which was laying on the floor in our living room. I wasn't going to have breakfast due to my lack of breakfast supplies, besides it would make me late. I grabbed my jacket and shoved my wallet inside its inner pocket and left the apartment.

The directions to Viv's new office didn't look too far from the apartment but I couldn't walk all the way there. I called an uber and made sure they believed me when I said It would cost them their job if they didn't get here in two minutes. It's funny how just a year ago I would choose any of the cars I had and drive anywhere I wanted to go to with her right under my arm.

My uber got there in three minutes looking terrified as I sat in the back seat not saying a word but showing him the address on my phone, for some reason his GPS was fucked. The drive was twenty minutes long exactly when we stopped in front of a hotel.

I paid the driver and passed through the automatic glass doors. The cool atmosphere hit me as the smell of expensive perfume and new furniture nearly suffocated me. I was so used to the smell of my room and the convenient store.

While walking to the front desk I was greeted by a young blonde lady who stood behind it. "Good Morning sir, how may I help you?" She chirped. If everyone else in this building sounded like Viv I'll be gone in a second.

"Hey, I'm here to see Vivian, the therapist." I say waiting for her to direct me to where Viv could be.

"She's on the third floor, there's a waiting room there so some one will take you to her when she's ready." She smiled before giving me a card with numbers on it I mumbled a thanks after I took the card and went into the elevator she also directed me to before reaching the third floor.

The waiting room was empty, if you subtract the other lady at front desk on this floor. I walked over to her, she didn't seem as bubbly as the girl downstairs.

"Good day sir, please may I see your card?" She smiled while I handed her the card.

I looked at the time behind her and it was already 1:45.

"Where's Vivian? I have an appointment for 1:30pm?"

"She's in the room straight down the hall sir." She was busy typing on her computer as she said so.

"Then can I go see her now?" I ask.

"I'm sorry sir, no. That is why you were given the pass so I could call your number when Miss Andrews is ready." She gave me another smile.

"Can't I just go in. I'm the only one here, isn't it dumb for me to wait and have my number called." I rose an eyebrow.

"Miss Andrews is currently in session with someone else." She said. Like hell she is!

1:55.

I sighed and walked towards the door. The woman's voice calling me back to sit down was heard before the sound of heels following me.

I opened the door more roughly than I intended to squeezing my eyes in annoyance ready to ask Viv why the hell she told me to come by 1:30 when she would be seeing someone else before a set of familiar eyes met mine.
