"I just saw her." I say to Mia. If I left with them Bella would be devastated once she gets back and doesn't find me at our apartment.

"Yes. We are aware that you had just seen Isabella but we can take you to where she always runs off to when you can't find her." Mia says every word carefully as if she were reciting the laws of physics to a five year old child.

I couldn't read my sisters expression. Despite the sadness that was evident, it was hard to sum up her real feelings, her intentions. An effect that they have on me.

"She can come over whenever she wants to." I say as I remember my loves words.

It's suffocating.

Our relationship somewhat suffocated her. The last thing I'd want is to get her upset. Maybe that's why she's always leaving in a hurry. She's taking things slow, giving us space. Absence does make the heart grow fonder.

"We understand Micah, but now we're tired of trying to make you forget about Isabella when you two are basically soul mates. So if you'd just stop by and surprise her, I'm sure it'll mean more than the world."

It took me three hours, getting ready, trying to look decent after digging through heaps of dirty laundry but I finally found a decent attire.

How did they know where she stayed? And why haven't they said a word for over a year? The question rotated round my mind as I sat at the back seat of John's car, impatiently tapping my fingers as I looked out the window trying to muffle the sound of  Mia's sniffles. I hardly remember anything past city park as an array of buildings caught my attention.

"We're here." Mia announced as she stepped out of the car along with John. I stayed. Unsure if I was to get out when at the same time I obviously knew I was supposed to.

I know. Fuck, I know I saw her a couple of hours ago but I don't know how her mood would be. If she would be mad or happy. Is she still thinking about Dubai?

The car door opening and my sisters frame coming to view took me out of my dilemma. "We don't want to keep her waiting." She said dryly before moving aside for me to walk out. With slow hesitant movements I was out of the car and in front a house, straightening my grey sweater even though I ironed it twice.

John and I followed behind Mia who seemed to be familiar with her surroundings as she walked up the few steps and to the front door, taking out a key making me raise a brow.

As if she saw my questionable look from behind her, she turned faced me. "She gave me the spare key." She attempted to form a smile before she opened the door letting us all in.

"Anastasia!?" Mia called as a short middle aged woman came rushing out of a room.

"Mrs. Williams, it's great to see you both." She smiles at Mia and John but it drops as soon as her eyes fall on me, staring in confusion.

"You must be, Michael?" She asks.

"No." I say simply as she raises her eyebrows still staring at me, as if she was waiting for me to say something.

"Micah, his name is Micah Anastasia." Mia cut in leaving me concerned about whether or not her face must hurt from all the tight smiles.
