AFTER COMFORTING Hannah, Chrissy went off to her next lesson. English. She walked in a few minutes late but the teacher didn't mind. She took her seat next to Jeff and pulled out her book.
"Hey." The boy next to her whispered. Chrissy looked at him weirdly, they'd been sat next to each other for half a year and this was the first time he'd spoke to her. What Chrissy didn't know was that for the past six months he'd been building up his confidence to speak to her.

He'd gaze at her sometimes, long enough to see the light brown streaks in her hair, the way her nose crinkles when she's confused and the way her left eyebrow slightly furrows when she's listening intensely. It was safe to say that Jeff had a crush on Chrissy the way Clay had a crush on Hannah.

Obviously Jeff didn't speak to Clay about Chrissy but he did mention a girl, which Clay had encouraged him to speak to her. "Hi." She replied back with a small whisper. "My brother helps you with your history right?" She asked him putting her head in her hand so the teacher couldn't see her speaking . "Yeah, he told me you're gonna help me with my English, because I need a C or I get kicked off the team." He looked so hopeful, desperate, it was clear to Chrissy how much he loved baseball.

"Yeah, definitely. The library, right?" She asked smiling, her pearly white teeth showing which only made Jeff smile at her back. "Mr Atkins, Ms Jensen, am I interrupting?" Mrs Smith asked stopping the class to which everyone turned to look at the two.

"Yes, actually you-" Chrissy started but Jeff interrupted her, "No, Miss, sorry." How sweet Chrissy thought looking at him again to see the gleam of his ear piercing. Hot.

Chrissy arrived at the library half an hour late, after receiving a detention from her biology teacher. "Sorry I'm late guys." She said sitting down I front of Jeff and next to her brother. "It's okay, we've just finished the history stuff and I've got to get to work. Hannah needs help cleaning the toilets." Clay said packing up his stuff. Chrissy crunched her nose up in disgust. "Ew, I hope you wash your hands after you touch the door handle at home." She chuckled taking pen out of her bag. "Bye Clay, thanks again for helping me." Jeff kindly said making Chrissy's heart melt a bit more.

"Anytime." He replied rushing off. Chrissy felt sorry for her brother, did Hannah even know how much he was crushing on her?

"So what are we starting with?" Jeff asked tapping his pen lightly against the table. "Umm, I can check your homework if you want?" She asked awkwardly, she didn't know how to 'tutor' someone. "Yeah sure." He said giving her his paper.

Jeff watched as she repeatedly circled things in her red pen, her hair falling over her shoulder in her face which she pushed back behind her ears. He took notice of her nails, they were acrylics, black and slightly pointed. He remembered before last semester they were pink. The corner of his lip inched into a small smirk as she scrunched up her nose, she's confused he thought, he'd watched her long enough to know that. Not in a creepy stalker way but in an admiration way.

"Okay so," she started flipping the paper round to show him it. "Your means it's yours, okay? Then you are is spelt you're. The same with there, there means it's over there and theirs means it belongs to them, you got that?" She asked explaining it slowly and pointing to it on the paper. He liked the way she did it, she made sure he understood. Although he was embarrassed that his crush was telling him how to spell, he know she wasn't judging him.

"Yeah, I get them mixed up sometimes." He replied nervously chuckling, which made her melt even more. "Oh, and you've missed out a few commas but we can work on that." She said putting her pen back in her bag. "Uh, wait. Where are you going?" He asked, he didn't want her to leave. "You've got practice in 10 minutes," she said chuckling.

This is your shot. Jeff thought to himself. "Well maybe I can get your number so you can help me some more, or just to, I don't know, go out sometime." He stuttered a few times, worried she'd turn him down, like she did to Justin Foley once.

"Did you just ask me out on a date?" She said looking over Jeff's face a few times. "Maybe." He said standing up and picking up his bag, which Chrissy copied. "Hmm, okay give me your phone." She smiled holding her hand out.
