TWO DAYS later, Chrissy was still asleep, Clay hadn't left the hospital waiting room where as his parents had gone home, the doctors wouldn't let them see her and weren't giving them any more information. The news about the accident had spread around town fast, Chrissy's friends wanted to come up and see her but the doctors wouldn't let them past reception.

Lainie and Matt, got a call on a Tuesday morning, telling them that they were allowed to see Chrissy. The got changed quick and sped down to the hospital. Clay was awake. His parents brought him a change of clothes. "Now, Christina is awake but her injuries are quite unsettling, I must warn you." The parents and Clay nodded, eager to see Chrissy to touch her, to see she was still breathing.

They went through the door to see Chrissy led on the cream sheets. She looked terrible. She had multiple machines connected to her, a huge cut on her cheek and forehead. She had a neck brace on and a cast on her arm, you could also see all the tiny cuts where the glass had gone into her body.

"Chrissy, sweetie! Are you okay?" Lainie asked, relieved to see her daughter was really alive. Chrissy didn't answer, settling a cold state on her mother. "They won't tell me what happened. They won't let me see Jeff. I need to see him, now." Chrissy snapped angrily, her voice raw from the lack of water. "Chrissy, I don't know how to tell you this." Matt said faintly, grabbing onto his daughters hand. "You were in a car accident and um-Jeff he didn't make it, sweetheart."

"No. No, no, no, no!" Her voice at first came out as pained yells until they turned into sobs. Why? She remembered it perfectly now, if she hadn't have been fiddling with the radio, it wouldn't have happened. It was her fault.

She should be the one dead.

"No, I can't!" She couldn't feel anymore she didn't want too, but a new feeling was hitting her every second like a bus. She was practically choking on her sobs, her heart rate machine beeping faster. She kept repeating his name, hoping that if she said it enough times he'd pop up, and pull her into his arms warmly and stroke her hair until she felt okay and that was when she realized;

she'd never see him again,
he'd never hold her again,
she won't be able to kiss him again,
hear his voice,
or see him,
or even argue with him
because he was gone, forever and she couldn't change it, because it was her fault that it happened.

"I need you all to leave." A nurse said calmly to Chrissy's family as a doctor tried to calm her down but she kept screaming, another thing she'd never be able to do with him again coming to mind making her louder. The doctors gave her some medicine, she fell asleep shortly after, tears still rolling out of her eyes.

Clay went to school the next day, deciding that sitting in a waiting room any longer would make him crazy. Seeing his twin sister in such a state the day before had really gotten to him. As he walked into the school everybody looked at him, many with sympathy. He got to his locker and angrily opened it, he lost his best friend and nearly lost his sister, but he knew that Chrissy would carry that pain around forever.

"Hey Clay." Jessica said softly, coming over to him with Justin and Montgomery. "How is she?" Clay looked at all of them, they all looked pretty beaten up themselves, he'd really underestimated how close they were to his sister. "Not good. Broken neck, ribs, they've controlled the eternal bleeding but the only thing they can't fix is her broken heart." Clay explained emotionless. "Can we see her?" Montgomery asked, hopefully.

Clay examined their faces, they all looked desperate. Maybe that's what Chrissy needed, people around her that she cared for, the loved her. Clay nodded a couple time. "Yeah, after school."

School was finally over. Clay's day was filled with questions off students and teachers. He'd been taken out by the principal and Mr Porter to ask how he and his sister were doing, not that it was any of their business.

Clay walked to Chrissy's hospital room with Jessica, Justin and Montgomery. They were all handling flowers, chocolates and cards. Clay tapped on the door before going in with the others. Chrissy was sat up in the bed, still hooked up to the machines. Jessica gasped at the sight of her friend, Clay had warned them she looked bad but this was emotionally painful for her to see Chrissy like that.

"Oh, you brought company." Chrissy said to Clay sarcastically, her eyes swollen and red. "Hey Chrissy, how you doing?" Jessica asked her handing her the flowers nicely. Chrissy laughed lightly taking the flowers. "How am I doing? Well I was in a car crash, which was my fault, whilst picking up your beers and the person I love is dead...how do you think I'm doing Jess?" Jessica looked down sadly, she really didn't think that through.

Chrissy stared at the expensive flowers that would sooner or later die, just like Jeff did. She remembered the artificial rose he gave her, because it resembled how his feelings for her would never die. A tear rolled down her cheek thinking about it. "I'm sorry." Jessica whispered touching her shoulder causing Chrissy to wince. "I appreciate you coming, but could you please leave?" She asked them, another load of memories of Jeff hitting her like a ton of bricks, Clay smiled softly at the three as they left before sitting on his sister's bed and hugging her.

Chrissy harshly pushed him away. "No, I don't want you to hug me, Clay! Even if you hug me to make me feel better the only person I want a hug from his the only person that will never be able to touch me again!" She said softly her voice raising slightly, her face scrunched up as the tears left her eyes uncontrollably.

"This must be really hard for you Chrissy, I don't understand. I don't think I'll ever understand what you're feeling but Jeff was my friend too, and I really miss him too." He said stroking his sister's hand, which she hadn't pulled away from him.

"It was my fault," she said, "it was my fault. I was messing with the stupid radio, changing over this shit song that Jeff liked and he changed it back, and we kept doing that until a car hit us. I must've distracted him and because of that somebody has lost their child, I've lost my boyfriend and a lot of people have lost their friend. Over a stupid song that I didn't fucking like."

Clay shook his head, he knew that Jeff must've been drunk for an accident that bad. "It wasn't your fault Chrissy, don't ever think that." He said pulling her back in for a hug which she didn't reject. She let him hug her as she cried into his shoulder.
