"OH CHRISSY this is Jessica, my girlfriend." Justin spoke for like the first time all night. Jessica smiled widely at the girl, she'd heard from her former friend Hannah that the girl was super popular and really good friends with Justin. Now that Justin and Jess were dating, she wanted to get to know all of his friends, to fit in with his crowd.
"Jess, do you wanna go get a drink?" Chrissy asked, she was intrigued by the girl. She wanted to know her, understand her, ask her why she jumped from Hannah to Justin. She obviously wasn't friends with Hannah anymore debating wether she heard about Justin and Hannah's past. "Um sure." Jess said glancing at her boyfriend who nodded.
Jessica helped Chrissy walk straight to the booze table as she was stumbling. Chrissy poured whiskey into two of Bryce's fancy crystal glasses and passed one too Jessica. "So you're new, right?" Chrissy asked her, starting the conversation politely. "Yeah, moved here a few weeks ago." Chrissy nodded taking a sip of her drink. "I heard your boyfriend was Montgomery, he's a nice guy." Jess said staring into her whiskey, she'd never tasted it before but Chrissy was pouring it down her throat like it was water.
"Yeah he's a nice guy, but it's actually ex-boyfriend now." She said her voice getting louder as Bryce had decided to turn the music loud as more people began to arrive. "I'm sorry, maybe one day you'll work it out." Jessica said talking in Chrissy's ear as there was no chance of her hearing Jess from their small distance with the music.
Maybe on day I'll be Jeff's girl, she thought, but then realized it would be a dream, more like a wish granted from a genie.
"Hey Jess do you wanna dance?" The two girls spent the whole night getting to know each other a bit more on the small dance floor, they grinded all over each other making the boys very entertained, but they didn't care. The girls had drunk too much whiskey to give a shit about anything, the music was loud enough to break their ear drums and they'd both smoked so much weed that Chrissy was seeing more than one unicorn. "Ladies!" Bryce shouted them over, he had a small bag in his hand.
The girls joined Bryce and Justin near the kitchen, in his small bag were 5 small yellow pills. "How about one of these? They'll make you party so much harder." Both girls stupidly agreed, Jessica trying to impress her new boyfriend and friend, whilst Chrissy was too drunk to walk without someone holding her up. As soon as Chrissy took her pill, drowning it down with a beer, she felt like she was on a different planet.
No, she felt like she was in a cartoon, the ones which characters have their eyes as wide as saucers, she felt dazed or dizzy, she couldn't decide, she couldn't even read the time on her phone, all she knew was that she had to get out of here, before she threw up or fell asleep whilst standing.
