THE NEXT day was a Saturday. Lainie called her children down for breakfast at 9am making Chrissy scream angrily. Her mother always found a way to tear her away from the most important thing in her life. Her bed.
She went downstairs in her pajamas, her eyes barely even open, they widened when she saw her family dressed and already eating. Dressed? At 9am on a weekend? She'd guessed they were running on some kind of drug to even have their eyes open at this time.
"Morning." She grumbled beggining to make a coffee. She sat at the table with everybody and rested her head on her hand occasionally blowing air at her coffee so it would cool down quicker.
"Where did you go last night?" Her dad asked setting his iPad down. "Out." She replied in a tone that warned them not to pry. "With who?" Her mom asked placing a plate of bacon down in front of her daughter. "A friend." She answered, nibbling at the bacon. "A friend you kiss? Because I know it wasn't that La Cruz boy." Her father asked his overprotectiveness coming out for the first time ever.
So this is where Clay gets it from. She thought, eyeing up her fathers clenched fist. "He's just a friend, guys calm down." She chuckled, this is the longest she'd interacted with her parents in a long time. Thankfully, they dropped it and started pestering the perfect child about his grades. Chrissy rolled her eyes that many times that they should've fallen out of her head.
She went back upstairs to get ready when her phone started beeping, before reaching it she prayed it was Jeff.
Montgomery

"Fuck." Chrissy whispered walking to her window, she opened it to see Montgomery at the bottom. He climbed up and jumped in. "We need to talk, and I want you to listen." She sighed rolling her eyes again, what doesn't he' get about "we're done." She thought. She sat on the edge of her bed as Montgomery kneeled in front of her, so they were basically level.
"I miss you." He whispered weakly, taking his hands in hers. She looked in his eyes long on hard and somehow started comparing him to Jeff.
Jeff was gentle, kind, sweet, complimentary and gentlemen.
Montgomery was rough, big headed, rude and a sex addict.
In that moment she decided she wanted Jeff, she didn't want the bad boy back that made her feel like shit, she wanted someone to make her feel good and worth it, and Montgomery didn't make her feel that way.
"I don't think, their should be an 'us' anymore, Monty." She barley whispered, holding his hands tight. "What do you mean?" He asked ripping his hands from her grip. "I don't want to be your fucking girlfriend anymore. All you made me do was feel like shit, all we did was fight and have sex, you never even took me on a date."
"Baby, I can take you on a date, I can be a better boyfriend and can take you on any fucking date, I need you, Chrissy" he was practically pleading, she didn't know what to do, she knew nothing would change, she didn't want that kind of relationship. He made her feel like she wasn't worth real love.
"I can't, not anymore. I told you we were through, I'd been thinking about it for a while, but after you told me Bryce had that picture, it was the last straw," she swallowed "you probably won't want to be friends for a while but we should be, and if you need me as a shoulder to cry on or even just to fucking talk, I'll be here. And I know one day you'll be there for me too." She continued to speak quietly, too make him feel more calm.
"Friends? Are you being ducking serious right now Chrissy? I just told you I love you, that I'd be better for you!" He'd started to raise his voice and his hands were moving everywhere as he spoke, it made Chrissy flinch. "I think you should leave, please." He looked at her twice before going out of the window. She didn't know wether to feel guilty, maybe he was the only one that could ever love her and she let him go. After that one date with Jeff, she's just expected him to be hers forever.
She surely was in dreamland.
