Edd X Reader: Over Time

Hello friends. I feel dead inside today so I thought I would make sure that you guys aren't dead yet either so yeah. Anyway, enough sadness.....ENJOY!

Y/n's POV:

It's strange to see everyone that we have known for years say goodbye. To see when they go. To see the tears in their eyes. It's sad. But it's the way that life goes. I remember like it was yesterday when I first met him.

Years and years eariler....

I was playing through the park like I always do on a sunny Saturday afternoon. But the atmosphere was different today. Something was off. I stopped what I was doing and looked around.

Mom?

Dad?

I started to panic and looked around some more. I still couldn't see them. But I could still hear their distant calls for me.

Y/n?

Y/n?

"Mom?! Dad?!?" I started to breathe heavily more and more. I was so scared more than I ever was before. Sure I was scared when I got lost in Walmart, but this was different. I could die out here.

"Excuse me?" I heard a voice say.

I turned around to see a boy around my age in a plain white shirt, a green unzipped hoodie and had a coke bottle in his hand. I tried to answer him, but my breathing was too loud that I couldn't hear him. My breathing was almost like a roar in the middle of a quiet house.

"Are you okay?" The boy came closer.

I tried scooting back but almost instantly fell down.

I wasn't a people person much. I mostly spent all my time alone so you could just say that I wasn't social. Actually you could say I wasn't social at all. Since I was always warned by my parents to never trust strangers, this was what they were saying.

"Are you okay?" The boy in green asked a little concerned.

I started to ponder a bit in my head. What he trying to help me? Or is he just one of those child kidnappers? I looked around to try to find a way to get out of this but the boy seemed to notice.

"Are you lost? I could help you get out of here. I've been here a bunch of times and know my way around. Come on let's go!" The green hooded boy smiled kindly at me and stuck out his hand.

As much as I didn't want to, this was my only way of getting back home. I slowly started to grab his hand and he lifted me up.

We both started to make our way out of the forest. As we were walking, he looked over to me and started to speak.

"Hey, what's your name anyway?" He asked.

"Y-Y/n.." I stuttered.

"Y/n... That's a pretty name!"

Present.....

And then on, we started to get more connected and he even introduced me to his friends Tom, Tord and Matt! Things were just perfect.

Until we graduated and had to go to different colleges. That brings us to today, where I stand here now with my best friends and parents saying goodbye to me so I could go to my college and study (f/s) (Fave. Subject). My parents already said goodbye and were crying as I hugged them goodbye.

Matt was the first one to say goodbye and even got me a travel mirror to look good where ever I go. Tom gave me a whisky bottle so when I come back and turn 21, I could finally drink with him like he always wanted. Tord gave me a plastic toy gun for the rode that has my name in bold letters and was in (f/c). He said that it shoots out confetti if I pressed the button, which I giggled at. They all gave me big hugs, which only left me with Edd.

Edd started to speak before I could say anything.

"Stay safe will you Y/n? I don't want anything happening to you when you come back." He joked. We both laughed and had an awkward silence.

That's when he did it. He kissed me right on the lips and held me by the waist. Everyone, including my parents and my friends 'awwed' and clapped.

Once he let go, the time had come for me to leave with my flight. We hugged tightly and I smiled as he reflected it. I waved to all my friends and left to my flight with tears brimming my eyes.

On the flight, all I could think about was that one kiss.

That made my day.

I closed my eyes and smiled as the plane took off.
