Oh, so now she's doing something. It's been ten minutes already and she hasn't done anything.
Suddenly, the advancing soldier started attacking it's own brothers in arms. It must have been Kirai and her fog dragon doing their thing.
Oh, wow, she could do that all along.
She then closed her eyes and pressed her fingers to her temples muttering the gun long forgotten.
Another soldier fell and stabbed himself. Now she starts helping. Just as another soldier ran towards me, my phone rang.
This is the worst possible time.
Battle or Phone.
What if the call is important? But I am in the middle of something important. I flipped and put in on speaker so i can hear it while battling. Whatever.
"Hello?" I asked in a sincere tone, hoping the person on the other line didn't hear all the clanking of swords and grunts of pure agony.
The other line paused for a second, probably realising the situation I was in, then proceeded to cover up the sound of disapproval with a cheerful tone. "Would you like to buy some cheap bars of -"
I shut off my phone. Stupid advertisement calls. Always ruining my fights.
I swiftly turned around and stabbed another soldier. My knife is so unsanitized. If they don't die, they'll at least get some kind of blood disease.
Then my knife was knocked out of my hand by a stray arrow. Crap.
"Kirai! Give me your gun NOW!" With her eyes as large as saucers, she cocked her arm and threw.
Stupid me, of course she'll miss me by a mile and hit Paris by accident and he'll fall down, still conscious, but since he's so close to the stairwell, he'll go tumbling down the stairs all the was down the tower.
Fortunately, he stumbled back towards us, after falling, but was still heavily dazed.
Typical.
Sometimes I wonder how she's older than me. She acts like a flabberjabbing five year old when battling, and when she's not battling, she acts like a three year old, doing absolutely nothing. "KIRAI!" Another man down. How the hell is she a villain, I have no idea.
Flames, the ferret, had received a blow to the head during my duel, making him all floppy in my coat pocket and very unhelpful.
Looking around, the only ones left standing were me, Kirai (surprisingly), Reyna and a few other soldiers. They weren't looking so good either.
The night session was ending and we saw the tip of the sun pointing out of the mountains in the distance.
"Der'mo. Futz. My proigryvayem." I mumbled. They aren't russian, I know. But I don't think they would like to know what it meant, especially since they probably see me as an underaged fool of a villain. To them, it probably seemed like a string of long incoherent words that was unheard over the loud yells and shouts echoing across the stone walls.
Just when I mumbled everything, everything happened at once.
An arrow hit Reyna in her thigh, causing her to cry out in pain and nearly pass out. As she stumbled, she bumped into Kirai who was already pale and sweating who then sprawled to the floor, and accidentally shoved Flames out the window when he was changing forms, and the best knights launched themselves at me.
The first knight thrusted his sword at me which I dodged. My knife was lost in battle and I was unarmed. I couldn't parry or lunge at my enemies. I knew I was going to tire eventually and be skewered. His blade cut my arm, a sting rose through my arm making it feel numb and heavy. I knew they must have laced their weapons with some kind of poison. After a few feeble attempts at making progress I wanted to surrender. Just when I saw an arrow whizzing to my head, I jumped to the right and felt Reyna grab my hand asI felt myself fading away.
