Wow, are you kidding me? This is the best Villain gathering I've ever been to! Hell yeah, let's do this!A burst of adrenaline flushes me and I get to my feet, skulls blazing in my hand.
Grinning maliciously, I glance around at the others beside me and to my chagrin, find them all quivering in fear, whilst I am quivering in anticipation.
"Guys, what the hell. They just saved us another 10 months of planning our attack, they're here now! Get your butts up and fight, isn't this what you've always wanted, to kill?" I shriek at them impatiently.
To my chagrin, they're still rooted to the ground, gazing at the windows in terror. I follow their gaze and glimpse magical white Pegasi whizz through the windows, whinnying and displaying a mouth full of perfect, gleaming teeth.
Rolling my eyes, I shrouded myself with my stygian cloak, which shielded me from any mortal damage and drew my scythe, crafted by Satan himself.
Around me, the others are whirling into a fight as if coming out of their trance. Flames roared, trembling the room and momentarily stunning the ranks of pegasi, ridden by puny men wearing armour, as if it could protect them from this.
Picturing their violent deaths fueled me with a dark energy and I plunged the skull in my hand onto the stone floor beneath us. Immediately, the ground opened, swallowing a few startled pegasi whose arrogance had angered me moments before.
Now I watched them coldly as they flailed midair, fruitlessly attempting to fight the grasp of Death before spiralling down into hell, quite literally.
A band of undead zombies replaced them, heads lolling and clutching sharpened spears. They may not look impressive but cannot be killed.
I yelled at the momentarily frozen enemy: "Run now or die like them!" And then stupidly realized that they still outnumbered us 20 to 1. Crap. The enemy seemed to realize this too and charged, pegasi rearing and catapults flinging down armageddon flames.
I used the last of my energy to summon a few more zombies, then melted into the shadows, enveloping myself in the blissful darkness, recharging my blood-thirsty veins. I reappeared at the back of the room and slashed at a pegasus's neck, feeling a malevolent satisfaction as crimson blood spilled from the wound and the beast crumpled, throwing the puny rider on the ground at my feet.
Just as I was about to divide him into halves with my scythe, I felt my eyes draw to Nadir. As if in slow motion, an enemy hero snuck up behind him while he was attempting to escape, the coward.
Then, as I opened my mouth to scream, the hero stabbed him.
