Night passed by, and before I even knew it, the sun was shining in my face, threatening to burn me alive.

I was the first to wake up. I realised it was only seven and the sun was only about to rise. As I looked around, I saw the others still asleep. Sticking out her boysenberry head, Xena was snoring lightly with her hybrid curled on top of her head like a halo blowing out smoke rings, her hood was still on. She even sleeps with it on, I snickered.

The girl from hell, Reyna was hidden behind a haystack, (probably muttering curses), with her feet peeking out. Her glasses were perched upon a stack of hay, as I debated whether to prank her by burying it somewhere in a large haystack.

The tall blonde guy, was also asleep, his head nodding in his chair.

Kirai, actually looked like a normal girl when asleep, hair down, relaxed and no longer hidden. She actually looked human that wasn't guarded and walled in. Like this, we weren't patrolling.

We were unsafe, vulnerable, weak, exposed, defenceless and a liability.

I walked around the barn, stretching my legs and arms, when suddenly I squealed.

Squealing from a boy is very unusual, they usually just shout or yell, but I squealed. I squealed because I just walked under a ladder.

My squeal had caused everyone to wake up and prepare to defend themselves. They realised a few seconds later that it was just me.

"Nadir, why are you up so early?" I heard Paris ask groggily.

"I just walked under a ladder. I. Am. Going. To. Have. Bad. Luck. For. Five. Years." I said gasping for air in the process.

"You retard, waking us all up because superstitious B.S. Get your crap together." Reyna snapped, brushing her dark brown hair out of her sunken eyes. "I feel dead, let us sleep."

They then all fell on stacks of hay in unison and fell back asleep.

I on the other hand, stayed back, eyes wide, and with my heart beating, I walked away from the ladder.

This is so not going to help me with my current situation.
