I saw the two lovebirds talking outside and decided to crawl back into the barn.

One word. Ew.

Just when I was about to make gagging noises and sounds, through the back door walked in two mortals. Stupid human beings. Stupid normals. And I have a very good reason to why I hate them.

I didn't know what happened next but, later on, Paris told me that I lost control and set everything on fire.

Luckily, I was immune to flames. Unfortunately though, my allies were not. I ran towards them and dragged them to the exit, except for Reyna who was trapped in the middle of the barn.

I don't think I saw the normals after that. A man in a white suit fled into the forest, however.

"You need to control those powers you have" Kirai whispered into my head.

Ugh. I don't need you telling me that. I saw her flinch. I knew at once that she must have read my mind when I was thinking. She looked at me with her large bug eyes wider than usual, I think it was pity or something I couldn't see form my own mind.

Get out. You're invading my privacy. GET OUT.

"Sorry."

The barn collapsed inwards, with the roof falling onto the beams that supported the walls and snapping them right down the middle. The west wall crumbled, while the east wall stuck together and fell on the accursed stepladder. The thatched roof exploded when it hit the flames, which danced across the field. The fire crept towards us, and I, very loudly shouted "Run!"

"Yeah. we know."
