That was the last straw. This is over. I'm done.
Sweeping on my cloak and grasping my skull, I then glimpsed a flustered looking Xena, wringing her hands in dismay. It hit me then. She had set the barn on fire. She was the reason why our shelter was crumbling down all around us. She had almost killed me.
That idiot, Xena can't even control her own abilities, let alone take on others.
As soon as I saw the walls of the barn around me, our only sanctuary for the past few days go down in flames, I decided I'd had enough with this bunch of meddling fools. At first, I'd panicked, thinking it was another enemy invasion.
Rage and frustration beyond my control wracked me and before I knew what I was doing, I resorted to the last resource I had left.
Trapped in a shadowless barn on fire, I had no other choice but to plunge the skull down into the earth.
The ground split open but this time, instead of summoning ghostly warriors, I leapt into the hole myself.
