prom — part two

"so, what do we do now?"

i shrug my shoulders and take another sip of the alcohol in my hand. "everyone's either at the after prom or a party."

"well," calum says and takes the cup from me, "let's get you out of that dress so we don't get anything on it."

"alright," i say and follow him back inside his hotel room. "cal, can you unzip me?"

he walks over and unzips the back of my dress before i grab the shirt and shorts from his hands and walk into the bathroom. i quickly switch clothes before going back to calum, maya, and daisie. i quickly realize that the two girls are passed out and it's just calum and i. i sit down next to him and lay my head on his shoulder as he takes his hands and brushes them through my hair.

now, for everyone imagining that i'm going to lose my virginity, you're definitely wrong there. i have high standards and i also believe in saving it until marriage, although many think that's stupid. maybe if we're together longer and i have absolutely fallen for him, maybe i will. love is the best thing in this world and i'm okay if that's the way it'll happen.

"wanna go get some food?"

"is that even a question? of course i do."

calum places a blanket on top of the two before we leave for the hotels cafeteria. we both grabs plastic plates before grabbing some food from the counters. we sit down at a random table, seeing as they're all empty, and start to eat.

"did you enjoy prom?"

i look up from dunking the piece of pancake into syrup and nod my head. "it was the best night."

"well," he says with a smirk, "the nights not over yet."

i didn't know what he meant until we finished eating and went back to the room. before you think anything, no, i didn't lose it. i'm still a virgin, both fortunately and unfortunately. he just made me change into our swimming suits, which I had no idea he brought with him, and went to the pool, asking the manager if we can of course.

"are you ready for a dip?" i shake my head as he laughs. "well, you're going in anyway."

before i could even say something, he picks me up and jumps into the pool with me hanging on tightly. we resurface with laughs before he swims to the opposite side of the pool. he closes his eyes and says, "marco!"

i laugh quietly before replying, "polo!"

the game continues until he finds me and wraps his arms around me. he gets out of the pool and over to the hot tub. he waves over at me with a smile.

"it's quite lonely over here, hana. wanna come join me?"

"nope," i shake my head, "i'm fine just right here."

"i'll come over and dunk you?" i shake my head again. "please?"

i sigh, get up, and slide in next to him. "you're cute."

"so i've been told," he grins and kisses me on the cheek. how cheeky.

all that we do is sit there and relax and just talk to each other. we haven't been together in so long that we deserve this.

"i love you, hana."

i know that we've said this so many times to one another, but this time makes it feel like the first. you can hear the emotions in his voice, literally.

"cal, i love you too."

he bends down and kisses me again. when we separate he says, "i don't know why everyone gets so excited over something like prom?"

i just laugh before we get tired of being in the hot tub and go back to the room.
