i grin as i send the text and hear my dad say, "i can't wait for you to see this."
the smirk on my face stays as he then says, "hana!"
i can't stop the laughing-coughs that leave my mouth as i compare our scores. my mom looks over at me and asks, "what?"
the coughs don't stop as i reply, "dad got 6,700 and i got 7,900!"
everyone in the room laughs as the coughs still don't seem to stop leaving my face. i sigh with a smile and play some more of the word hunt against my dad. you could say i'm an old woman at heart.
