"when the summer ends what are you going to do?"

"i don't know," i admit to jess, "i'll probably go from day to day."

"will you go back to the states?" she asks, tossing a few skittles into her mouth. "or are you going to stay in europe for a while?"

"not sure," i reply, getting some skittles myself.

we both stop talking and give our attention back to harry potter currently playing on her television, and once the last movie of the series ends we walk to her bedroom.

i grab a pair of pajamas while she lays down on her bed and turns netflix on. i grab my phone and make my way into the bathroom and shut the door. i undress myself before dressing myself into the pajamas, and then i unlock my phone and dial the number i've dialed so many times before. she answers after a few seconds and i can just see the happiness as i listen to her voice.

"i miss you so much, ana."

"mom," i smile, "i miss you so much more."

"you've been gone for far too long, my baby."

"i know i have," i say and smile as she goes on talking about how everyone's doing and what i've been missing out on ever since i left america back in july, it being august now, but one thing catches my attention fully.

"you father quit his job."

"whoa, what now?"

"you heard me right," she says, "he walked right up to the administration and told them to shove it and then left."

holy hell, my dad is a beast.

"what's he doing now?"

"you have to guess."

"what's he doing, mom?"

"he is playing rock band and grand theft auto all day long."

when the words leave her mouth, i can't help but laugh at the thought of my father doing that.

"i would've never thought that my dad would do that!"

"he keeps saying that his one true dream since he was eighteen was to be in a band and that this, quitting his job, is one step closer to doing what he truly wants to do."

"your husband is such a rock star," i tell her, laughing to myself. "are you gonna support his dream?"

"hell yeah i am!" she exclaims. "i'd be stupid not to. he supported my dream of becoming a doctor so i'm going to support him and his musical career."

we talk for a while longer, before my dad grabs he phone and talks to me as well, and then the three of us say our goodbyes and i go back to jess's bedroom and join her on her bed.

we watch comedy's for the rest of the night, and then switch from comedy to horror once white chicks ended at two. our eyes focus on strangers, the one movie i brought with me, as the main character goes to the door one more time.

"is tamara there?"

"why can't they just board the windows and everything up?"

"because it's a movie," i tell her and clutch the pillow.

several more screams, from the both of us, later we finally get through with the movie and try to go to bed. the only thing stopping us: our fright from the movie.

ok I have terrible ways to end stories so give me some options. idk how to lead it there because it's hard for me soooo... 7/14/17
