-Riley and Kailyn-

"I broke up with Jake." Kailyn said, looking out the window closest to the where Riley and her were seated in star bucks.

"Really?" Riley beamed.

"Yeah. It's time for change. Jack is change." Kailyn stirred her straw in her drink.

"Kailyn, this is perfect. We're friends. Jack and Alex are friends. This is the kind of shit you read in stories."

"I know. Everything seems to be falling into place"

-Alex-

"Really, Jack?" Alex groaned, throwing his head back in frustration.

"Yes. I need coffee. It's like oxygen." Jack stated.

The two best friends walked into the closest coffee shop when Jack spotted Kailyn. His heart instantly stopped beating when he saw her.

"Hey Alex, Riley's with her friend over there." Jack said, pretending to not know the girls name.

Alex grabbed Jack's forearm and dragged him over to the table where the two girls were seated. Jack's heart was pounding when he saw Kailyn's green eyes in sight. He had been thinking about her since they hooked up that one extremely drunken night.

-Riley-

Riley was talking to her friend when two hands were clasped over her eyes and she felt breathing near her ear.

"Guess who." A voice whispered.

Riley peeled the hands off her face and turned around to see Alex with Jack. She smiled and got out of her chair to face Alex. She threw arms around his neck and placed a chaste kiss on his lips.

"Alex." She bit her lip when he looked down at her. "What are you doing here?"

"My hairy friend wanted coffee." Alex laughed.

"Thanks." Jack said sarcastically.

"You guys can sit with us, if you want. That's alright with you, Kailyn?" Riley turned to Kailyn who looked nervous.

"Yeah." She nodded.

"Why haven't I seen you all week?" Riley asked Alex.

"Uh." Alex sighed. "I've been really busy."

Kailyn looked at Alex suspecting something, and Alex just shrugged off the look, taking a sip of his drink.

-----

"I've been researching him." Kailyn told.

"You've been researching my boyfriend?" Riley asked, annoyed.

"Yes." Kailyn said, like it was nothing.

"Why?" Riley wondered.

"He was acting weird yesterday."

"Maybe he was nervous being around my friend."

"He has a history for cheating. His girlfriend Lisa dumped him because of it."

"You cant believe everything you read, Kai."

"Whatever, Riley. Don't say I didn't warn you."
