Riley clutched the leg of her pants nervously as she stood in the elevator leading to the fifth floor of Baltimore Hospital. She felt worse now than she ever has, with the anticipation of seeing Alex. Not only was it the fact that she was going to see him all distraught, but that this was the first time she was seeing him since California.

The elevator doors opened and she instantly caught sight of Rian, Jack, Flyzik, and Zack. Kailyn gave her friend a reassuring smile before the existed the elevator.

"Glad you could make it, Riley." Rian smiled, and pulled the limp girl into a hug.

"Um. Where is Alex?" Riley choked out the words.

"Surgery prep. Two visitors at a time. His parents are with him now."

"I was going to visit next, but I think he needs to talk to you." Jack smiled.

"Thanks." Riley muttered.

A man and woman were walking towards the group. The man had his arm around the

teary eyed womans shoulders. Riley figured these were Alex's parents.

"Hi." The woman sniffled, and took Riley's hand to shake it. "I'm Isobel, and this is my husband Peter. Were Alex's parents."

"Nice to meet you." Riley spoke softly.

"Riley. I think you should go see Alex. He's on anesthetics and a little drowsy, but he keeps asking for you." Mrs. Gaskarth told.

"Okay." Riley whispered. "What room?"

"207."

"Thanks."

Riley walked down what seemed to be an endless hallway. The numbers printed on the white walls were mocking her as they became closer and closer to 207. The air in Rileys lungs was knocked out when she reached the closed door of room 207. Her hands trembling, Riley gripped the silver door knob, twisting it open. She stepped inside, seeing the most beautiful man laying in a hospital bed with his eyes closed.

Riley unsteadily walked to the blue chair beside Alex's bed. She felt tears reaching her eyes as she saw him laying there silently. Not being able to control herself, Riley broke out into sobs. The tears were forever falling down her cheeks.

"I didn't think you were coming." A voice whispered.

Riley looked up to see Alex smiling at her. He looked tired and confused.

"I wasn't going to." Riley stated.

"But you did." Alex smirked.

"I guess so." Riley replied, whiping the tears from her eyes.

"Why did you come?" Alex looked into Riley's eyes.

"This is my fault." Riley choked.

"Come here." Alex said and Riley stood up and walked over to Alex's bed. She felt Alex take her hand and placed thier intertwined hands on his stomach.

"Please, Riley." Alex watched as Riley blinked the tears out of her eyes. "None of this is your fault. Never think that."

"Look at yourself." Riley traced her fingers over the cuts on Alex's arms. "Your life is being supported by an I.V. Your eyes are blood shot and baggy. If I would have been a better girlfriend-"

"Shh." Alex cut her off. "You can never blame your self for the way I treated you."

Alex pulled Rileys hand to his lips and placed his lips gently against her hand.

"I want you to know now," He started. "If I don't make it today... I love you so much."

"You're going to make it." Riley whispered through her tears.

"You don't know that."

"Yes I do."

"Tell me something."

"Anything."

"Would you ever take me back? It's too hard being without you."

"I would be stupid not to."

"I love you, baby."

"I love you too."
