Riley nervously held Alex's hand as they stood outside the airport. She had felt like she was going to explode. She hadn't seen her sister in nearly two years and she was nervous, considering thier horrible relationship in the past.

"Tell me more about your sister." Alex said, still looking into the distance.

"Well, her name is Nikki Ranson. We're not very much alike. They way we act, dress, talk. It's all different. She's hard to explain."

"Are you nervous?"

"Yeah."

"Why?"

"What if she hasn't changed?"

"Then we send her back to Oklahoma."

"You sound like you're talking about a puppy or a package." Riley giggled.

"Riley?!" Someone screeched.

Alex and Riley turned to see a bleach blonde girl in cowboy boots and short shorts standing there, with tons of suitcases. She smiled and threw her arms around Riley's neck.

"Hey, Nikki." Riley smiled.

"I missed you so much, girl!" Nikki giggled, her eyes darting to Alex who was standing there awkwardly.

"And who is this?" She batted her eyelashes.

"I'm Alex." Alex smiled, extending his hand and Nikki greedily shook it.

"Friend?" She asked.

"Boyfriend, actually." Riley corrected, jealous.

"Nice." Nikki praised.

Riley looked at her sister, annoyed. She had suddenly remembered why she hated her. Looking at her blonde-haired, short-shorts, v-neck clad sister she realized it was going to be a long month.

----

The following morning Riley woke up to the sound of laughter. She looked beside her and saw the left side of the bed was empty. Alex's side. It was weird, Alex always slept in later than her. She looked at the clock: 9:45. Why was he up so early? She slowly got out of bed and made her way to the living room to see Nikki and Alex sitting on the couch, eating.

"Good morning, sleepy head!" Nikki giggled.

"How'd you sleep, babe?" Alex asked, looking at his furious girlfriend.

"Fine. Why are you up?" She asked, bluntly.

"I smelled food." He laughed. "Nikki was cooking."

"Want some?" She smirked.

"It's really, really, really good." Alex smiled towards the blonde girl.

"I bet it is." Riley growled, giving her sister death glares, who just rolled her eyes.

"Don't be so grumpy, sister of mine." Nikki grinned.

"I'm not grumpy. Just annoyed. It's too early." Riley frowned.

"Then go back to bed." Alex said, quickly.

"Well, if that's what you want." Riley said, taken aback.

"No." Alex, looked up at the girl. "I didn't mean it like that... I meant-"

"Bye." She cut him off, walking back into her room.

----

Riley woke up later in the morning. Unsure if earlier was a dream or not. She looked at the alarm clock beside her: 12:37. It must have been real. She shook her head and made her way out of bed for the second time that morning.

It was silent in the other room. She slowly crept her way into the living room to see Alex and Nikki by the front door swapping spit, Alex nearly knocking Nikki over. Rileys jaw dropped as she descended back into the room and leant against the wall. She clasped her hand over forehead as she re-imagined the kiss she just witnessed. She knew it was time to leave. As soon as the two of them left she would pack up her things and get away. Where? She had no idea. She just knew she had to run.
