Once again, the phone went right to voice mail and Riley let out a puff of air. Alex wasn't answering his phone, which worried Riley. Kailyn's cheating theory was seeming to make more and more sense to her.

Since Riley's summer vacation in California had ended, she barely spoke to her boyfriend. Wanting to speak to the person who says he wants to be with you made sense. To Riley, but Alex had a different aspect on their relationship.

Out of frustration, Riley lit a cigarette in her mouth. It was a nasty habit she had picked up since she'd been with Alex. Releasing the poisonous smoke out of her body, Riley Stuffed her phone into her pocket and continued her walk down the streets of her home town, Baltimore Maryland.

The weather had been warm for the past few days, but as the days reached the first week of October, cold filled the once warm air. Riley buttoned up her black pea coat as a breeze hit her face. The heels of her boots clicked against the pavement. It was almost impossible to hear over the loud cars and people talking.

Finally, Riley had reached her destination. A bakery on the corner of the street that Kailyn and her own apartment building was.

"Good after noon, Riley." Mr. Chan greeted as Riley walked into the warm building.

"Hey, Mr. Chan." Riley put on a smile for the man.

She was a regular customer at "Chan's Breads and Things". Also, she was close friends with the owners daughter, Lee Chan.

"How are you today?" He asked.

"Good, is Lee here? I haven't seen her in a while." Riley asked.

"Riley!" A high voice called from behind her.

"Lee!" Riley called back, and she joined her friend in a hug.

"Hey, Riley. Where have you been all summer? I thought you were coming back a month ago." Lee stated.

"I was supposed to, but I met a guy down there. He's in one of my favorite bands." Riley felt more sick, than proud of that.

"Oh? What's his name? Any pictures?" Lee questioned.

"Alex, and yeah." Riley scrolled through her iphone for her most recent picture of him.

"He's a cute one." Lee praised.

"Thanks." Riley, said flatly.

"Wait, he was here yesterday!"

"He was?" Riley asked, now confused.

"Yes! But with other girl. She was blonde. They donated a dollar to the children's foundation. They signed the paper."

"Can I see the paper?"

"Yes. Right over here."

Lee pulled out a sheet of paper with what looked like a thousand signatures. Riley scanned the paper until she found something that really hurt her. The paper was signed

"Alex Gaskarth and Lisa Kudrow"

"Who's Lisa?" Lee asked.

"Um. I have to go." Riley choked out.

--------

"Alex. It's me." Riley whispered into the voice mail box she'd become so familiar with. "You haven't been answering my calls which has led me to assume nothing but that you're with somebody else. I really know now. That you are cheating on me and I really hope Lisa's worth it, because obviously I wasn't." Riley swallowed back the lump in her throat that seemed to have something to do with the tears about to fall from her eyes. "So, please, don't contact me anymore. Not like you exactly were before. We're over. Bye."

Tears had won the war again Riley. They streamed down her face as she threw her phone against the wall. It broke into a few pieces, but Riley didn't exactly care about that right now. Her heart was broken into even more pieces. How could someone shes been with for only a few months do so much damage? She should've listened to Kailyn, and she knew that.

At the moment, nothing could be done, nothing could be said. The only thing left to do was cry out the problem. That's exactly what Riley was doing.
