Chapter 19 : No Words Exchanged

Who would have thought finding a special ring would be this hard. It makes me wonder how Johnny found one.

I stared at the different designs of gold and silver rings in front of me, perfectly arranged in the glass casing, shining proudly. I couldn't find the right one... yet.

I looked up at most of the jewelry shop along the mall but I have no luck. The special ring is not here.

I walk slowly through the mall's exit and find myself walking down an alley. It was not eerie so I just continue along, wondering where would my feet take me. I suddenly stop at an old shop.

The rings on the glass case were beautiful. Unique and exquisite. It's hard to choose.

"Good day, sir. Looking for a special ring?" A voice asked,

"Yeah," I answered politely

"You looked confused, any ring on your mind? I can help you," she replied,

"I am looking for a ring that best describes forgiveness, healing and our love that will last forever," I answered hopefully

"How lucky that girl woul be, I think we have that kind of ring," she said happily

"It's not a girl," I replied

"Oh, did you and him breakup so now you're making it up?" She asks

"Kind of. Actually, we were married then got divorced but I still want him back so that's why," I replied looking at her while she is busy looking through the rings

"Oh, how scandalous. I always thought you guys had it easy, you know, less drama's. Here, look at it, it's one of our newest collection," she handed a ring to me,

It was beautiful. It was not like any other rings, it has black linings and details, making me curious about it.

"May I know the story of this ring?"

"Sure. I worked for this ring for months. It was made of gold, white gold, diamond and onyx. I interlaced these precious stones to each other creating an infinity like pattern. The gold and white gold defines the luxury of your love while the diamonds and onyx symbolizes truths and healings."

"It was amazing," I really mean it. I just stared at the ring in amazement.

"I called it the new infinity ring. I think it's the perfect ring for your wedding,"

"I think so too,"

"30% off, as a wedding gift," she said happily,

"You don't have to, you worked hard for it."

"No. I insist. I admire the stories of true love."

"Thanks."

"You know what, Tim, you should treat me to lunch one of these days. Making the judge favor our request was not an easy task," Chloe pouts,

"Sure, Chloe. Thank you,"

We were in Johnny's room, making little conversations while the kids were playing. We moved back to our old house in Beijing. I also talk to Mom Trisha about marrying Johnny again, and she just hugged me. The restraining orders were revoked. The only thing left is for Johnny to wake up.

Someone knock on the room and I ask the kids to open it.

"Uncle!"

"How are you, kids?"
