Derek's POV

Today my family is having a boat day at the lake, and I'm taking Lisa with me. It is her first time meeting my family so she is kinda nervous, so we pulled up to the lake and seen where my family is at the dock so I took Lisa's hand
"You ready?" I asked and she nodded
"Don't be nervous" I said and she nodded and we walked to the dock and my older sister and her fiance was there, my parents, my younger sister, my grandparents, my aunt and uncle, and a few of my cousins.
"Hey!" I said as we approached them as our hands were still interwined and they all greeted us
"Guys, this is my girlfriend Lisa" introduced her and they all smiled and my mom came up and hugged her
"I heard a lot of about you, it's about time we got to the famous Lisa" she said and Lisa smiled and my dad came up and shook her hand, then I introduced her to my sisters as we took off on the boat
"Lisa this is Louisa but we usually call her Lou and this is my little sister Katie" I said and Lou hugged her
"Nice to meet you" she said and Lisa said the same thing back and they started talking, then she met the rest the family, they all seem to really like her, and after a few hours ..my mom came up
"Lisa seems like a very sweet girl" she said and I nodded
"Yeah, she's incredible"  I said smioing and she smiled
"Good, I haven't seen that big smile on your face for a long time" she said and I looked at Lisa as she was talking my grandpa and he was made her laugh and I just smiled at the sight
"Yeah, she definitely makes me happy" I said and I got up and walked up to her and wrapped my arms around her and kissed her cheek and my grandpa
"Now Derek, how did you get such a pretty girl" he asked and we laughed and I shrugged
"I honestly don't know" I said and he laughed
"Well better treat her good son" he said and I nodded
"Always" I said and Lisa look at me and we just smiled at each other, it was overall a fun day, we ate, we did some swimming then it started to get windy after a while and we got out and dried off and the sun was starting to set so we sit to where we could see and I noticed she was shivering and I grabbed a dry towel wrapped it around her and put my arm around her and she laid her head on my shoulder
"Its so beautiful" she said and I smiled
"Sure is" I said as I just pulled her closer and kissed her temple and she just laughed and she just intertwined our hands together and kept her head rested on my shoulder...we just continued looking at the sunset...I hope to never lose this girl
