Chapter 25

Lisa's POV
Me and my sisters were having our band meeting listening to our old tracks and stuff, I tried texting Derek a couple times but he never responded which is unusual, but he is probably busy at work, so we were just dancing to our music and then all of the sudden the doorbell rung and Christina spoked up
"I'll get it" she said as she got up and a few minutes later she came back and look at me
"Hey, Lise its for you" she said and I got up and walked to the door and seen two officers standing at the door and one of them was Alex
"Um hey" I said surprised and Alex looked sad
"Um Lisa, I just came to informed you that Derek got stabbed during a call today" he said and my eyes went wide
"Is he okay?" I asked and he gave me a look
"I don't know his condition, I just know he was not responsive when they took him,  they wouldn't let me go to the hospital because I have to be at the station for questioning and everything" he said and I took a breath
"Alright" I said taking a breath and Alex looked at the other cop
"Can I have a second with her please?" He asked and he nodded and went back to the car and Alex looked at me and he can tell I was about to cry
"Hey don't cry" he said as he looked at me and put his hand on my shoulder and spoked up
"I'm not gonna tell you not to worry, I'm worried too" he said and spoked up again
"But I will tell you that as soon as he wakes up, you're gonna be the first person he will want to see" he said and I nodded and he spoked up
"Well I have to go to the station, I'll see you at the hospital later right?" He said and I nodded
"Yeah I'm gonna head there now" I said and he nodded and gave me a small hug before he went back to the car and I went back to the house and grabbed my keys and purse
"Where are you going?" Christina asked and I took a breath
"I'm going to the hospital, Derek got stabbed at work" I said and they all worried looks
"Well keep us informed" Christina said and I nodded
"Promise" I said as I walked outside to my car and started driving...I didn't put on any music or anything, I just drove and once I got to the hospital , I got out and walked in and seen his mom,dad and sisters and his older sister Lou and came up to me
"How is he?" I asked as I hugged her
"We still don't know anything" she said and I took a breath
"What do you know?" She asked
"Just that he got stabbed on duty" I said and she nodded and we sit around for a few hours and then the doctor came out
"Derek?" He said and we all stood up
"So luckily, the stabbing didn't go through any of vital organs but it did make him lose some blood and made him go into hypothermic shock" he said and we all nodded
"Is he going to be okay?" His mom asked and the doctor spoked up
"Well I can't tell you not to worry, you're gonna go that regardless of what I tell you, but yes, he is going to pull through" he said and I took a deep breath of relief and his little sister spoked up
"Can we see him?" She asked and the doctor smiled
"Sure" he said and he looked at me
"But family only right now" he said and his mom put her arm around me and spoked up
"She is family"
