Chapter 29 Tori
I quietly shut the dorm room door not really wanting to attract any patrolling teachers attention.
I had my heels on already and the familiar tap tap tap as I snuck further and further from my room was comforting.
Ayalisse and my dorm room were on the third floor of the building and so I had to get all the way down to the first story.
It felt like I had been walking for hours before I reached the staircase and descended two flights.
I couldn't sneak out the front doors of the building they would obviously have an alarm system and probably a teacher on duty.
I settled with a window that overlooked the school car park and jimmied the window lock. It creaked slightly as I opened it but nothing too loud and I slipped out the window into the cold night.
Happily grinning like a maniac I mounted my motorbike and pushed it to the end of the car park starting the engine when I was far enough from the school that no one would hear it. Classes were on the first floor with dorms on the second and third floors of the Academy. There was a library somewhere around there too and the teachers dorms were up on the fourth floor.
I drove into town thinking about all the clubs and bars I had looked up at my Aunts.
I settled for a club not too far from school deciding that the dancing and a couple drinks wouldn't hurt.
I pulled up out the front of the club and waited at the door passing the bouncer with a laid back smile.
I didn't come off as the bad girl back at home without my fake ID.
The music in the club had a pounding beat that echoed in my ears and gave me an immediate headache but I didn't care.
I felt numb. I wasn't angry or sad or happy anymore I was just numb.
Sitting at the bar I ordered a simple coke with Kahlûa thinking that if I wanted to get back to the Academy before morning I had to be at least a little bit sober.
"Hey honey" a man slurred from beside me.
I turned to look at the man, his elbows resting on the bar and his feet oddly diagonal. He was going to pass out soon, there was no way he could hold himself up after another drink.
He quickly ordered a Vodka shot and downed it falling onto the floor and as I guessed, passing out.
I took my drink and shuffled through the grinding bodies of people dancing.
Another man took my arm and I whirled around ready to rip my hand away but stopped myself.
He wasn't drunk like the other man and there wasn't a drink in his hand. His light brown hair was pushed back against his head like he had run his fingers through it repeatedly.
I smiled and downed my drink moving back toward him with a seductive smile.
We dance for hours, grinding our bodies together smiling and laughing but never actually talking.
I'd had at least 12 cokes with Kahlûa but I wasn't drunk. It wasn't enough to get me drunk.
I checked the time and it was 5:30am so I decided I had to leave pulling away from the car and running from the bar.
I mounted my bike at the same time as the boy came running outside to watch me drive away.
The window was still open when I got back to school which was a good sign and I crawled inside walking up to my room and taking a shower.
I changed into a causal white tank top with another pair of denim mini shorts pulling on a pair of blue vans and leaving the same earrings in.
I realised Ayalisse wasn't in her bed so I went in search of her finding her in the theatre.
With the alcohol still in my system I felt a little reckless waking her up and telling her we were going exploring!
