Chapter 32

Chapter 32 Lis

I gasp as I see Tori fall down the steps and land at me feet.

I attempt to pick her up and run but she's too heavy for me carry let alone run with. "Ambrose!" Darrel scolds looking up at his friend.

Ambrose just smirks and walks down the steps slowly in a menacing way each foot making a loud click on each step. Still attempting to pick Tori up I topple in my heels and fall expecting a loud thud and pain but all I hear is the thud and I feel arms around me. I look up realising that the thud had been the wood falling to the ground and Darrel had caught me.

I quickly squirm out of his grip stuttering and making a beeline for Tori's body, which Ambrose is lifting and heading up the stairs. I whimper and attempt to hit him then regret it running down the path straight into Darrel.

"Whoa,I gotcha babe slow down where are you going without her?" He asks pointing, completely oblivious to how he's holding me.

I look at Tori and realise I can't leave her and I decide to shake my hair so that even I have trouble seeing and to walk up those steps meekly. Before I can take a step he scoops me up and carries me bridal style in to the cabin and I realise I have a huge cut on my leg now 'where'd that come from' I think.

Ambrose has already put Tori on the couch and is making hot drinks. Darrel still carrying me grabs a first aid kit. We pass the clock and I look at the time. 11:53 it reads and I gasp as Darrel put something on the cut. He looks at me a concerned look on his face.

"so why are you hiding behind that hair" he teases "pretty colour"he adds.

I smile slightly and limp over to Tori when he's finished bandaging my leg

"you should take them off" Ambrose says ..... almost darkly but with a touch of humour in his voice gesturing to me heels.

"Why do you care?"I say so quietly that only Darrel hears. He comes over to Tori and tends a cut on her head.

I head over to the other couch and lay down promptly falling asleep.

I wake up to the sound of voices. I don't let the guys know I'm awake and listen in. "Dude you totally like her" I hear Ambrose say and Darrel replies but they must be walking because the sound gets quieter and I can't hear his answer.

I glance at the clock and realise the time. OMG we have to get back I rush over to Tori and say her name desperately and I hear footsteps come in and I fall silent. Turning around I see both Ambrose and Darrel and I mumble that we have to get back to school and realisation flashes across they're features.

Just then I hear movement. "she's waking" I add.

I hear tori swear and movement and Ambrose says concernedly "easy"

Tori just swears and talks back at Ambrose and taps me on the shoulder I turn around "how long was I out?" I look at the clock and realise that she's been out for nearly eight hours. "Not too long I say glancing around and shaking my hair she knows something's up and I put up eight fingers and realisation dawns on her.
