Kevin always liked staying inside, but that night would be different, Veronica had convinced him to come to the Drive-In with her since it was the last time it would be open and Betty was busy. Kevin accepted and decided to ask his dad for the trunk so that they could be more comfortable while watching the movie.
Kevin picked Veronica up around 7 at night, he drove while Veronica ranted about some family problems.
Once they got to the drive in Kevin decided to park near the very back, as he went to get the drinks and food, Veronica put the blankets and pillows on the back of the trunk, she sat down and waited for Kevin to come back; that's when she realized that some serpents were coming to watch the film too.
Kevin came a few minutes after with two popcorn bags, one large soda and lots of candy since he knew it would make Veronica feel better after the family drama she had been going trough.
They sat down putting the radio on and waiting for the movie to start, as time went by the drive in got fuller and fuller, including some serpents getting in with their motorcycles and parking right behind where Kevin and Veronica had parked. Once the movie started they noticed a bright red car coming, it was Cheryl, she parked her car in front of the truck and she got out "make some space" she said quickly as she sat beside Veronica, they kept watching the movie while Cheryl settled down.
The serpents were so loud since they were drunk and probably looking for trouble Kevin turned to see who was talking, that's when he noticed a guy looking at him, he turned around quickly, but as he was focusing back to the movie Veronica had stood up, she faced towards the serpents and yelled "You know what happens to a snake when a Louis Vuitton heel steps on it? shut the hell up or you'll find out" you could hear people from cars clapping, Veronica did a little bow and sat back down.
Cheryl handed Kevin the empty cup of soda and told him to get more, he rolled his eyes and Veronica smiled, he got out of the trunk walking to the Coffee Shop where they sell the food, the place was empty there were some kids having milkshakes and a couple kissing in a booth, Kevin approached the counter and asked the guy for a popcorn and drink refill as he waited he was looking around, noticing how there were couples everywhere he turned back and the guy was putting the drink and popcorn on the counter, he payed and walked to the trunk "here you go" he said as he gave Veronica popcorn and passed the drink to Cheryl "you forgot the candy" Cheryl said before Kevin got back in the truck, "fine" said Kevin as he walked back to the Coffee Shop he asked for a bag of candy and payed telling the guy to keep the change when he turned around he bumped into a guy, dark hair, blue eyes, and probably a serpent, but Kevin didn't care "sorry" Kevin said as he stepped to the right so that the serpent could walk by, but the guy did the same, the guy reached into Kevin's shoulders "hey relax" the guys said moving him to the side and giving Kevin a smirk, Kevin smiled foolishly and started walking to the trunk when the guy yelled "hey wait up" he ran up to Kevin to catch up with him "me?" Asked Kevin confused "yes, um maybe you'll like a drink?" The guy said smiling, Kevin ran up to the trunk throwing the candy to Cheryl and telling them he would be back, he walked back towards the guy who extended his hand "I'm Joaquin by the way" they shook hands "I'm Kevin Keller"
Joaquin cleared his throat "um Keller, as in related to sherif Keller?" Joaquin asked,
"is it a problem?" Kevin asked, Joaquin showed him his serpent tattoo "is this?" Kevin looked to the tattoo and then back into Joaquin's eyes "I won't tell, if you don't" they both smiled.
Joaquin walked in front of Kevin leading him towards the back of the CoffeeShop where there was an alley and a wire wall Joaquin walked in first and Kevin followed.
"I thought you were getting a drink" Kevin said looking at Joaquin "we will" they made long eye contact until Joaquin shoved Kevin into the wall and brought him in to a kiss, Kevin grabbed the back of Joaquin's head pushing the kiss in even more and Kevin grabbed onto Joaquin's shirt, they pulled apart to get some air, both of them gasping smiled at each other "now what drink would you like" Kevin chuckled walking back to where all the people where, he turned back around and Joaquin pulled him close, "give me your phone" Kevin said not breaking the eye contact, Joaquin hand Kevin his phone and Kevin added his number "that's my number, use it" Joaquin have him a quick kiss on the lips and they walked back in to the CoffeeShop, Joaquin ordered a drink for Kevin, handed to him and kissed him again on the cheek, kevin smiled at this and he walked back to the trunk where Veronica was folding all the blankets back and putting the pillows to one side, "hey where did you go?" Veronica said as she went over to the passengers sit "lots of people" Kevin said quickly getting into the car. Veronica knew he was lying since the CoffeeShop was empty, she chuckled to herself and Kevin drove her home.
