**Monday**
Dan's POV
"Time to start a new terrible week as always" I say to my self walking into school
The weekend was great, the best one yet as I actually had friends to be with well friend im not sure about the others yet. I still havent made up my final decision on whether to sit with Phil's friends today at lunch but I guess that's what the first part of the day can be for. I am still not to sure about friends yet, these people might be in on it with Andrew to make me feel like shit.
As I start walking towards where I normally sit in the mornings before class I see a big group of people just standing there. Then I see the blonde hair of Andrew and my heart starts racing. Not this early in the day or week, why now please don't make them come over here. I shut my eyes tight and hope they won't see me but I guess I just stand out as I hear the cackles of Andrew and his friends coming toward me.
"Guys look he is shitting himself already and we haven't done anything to him" Andrew laughs with his friends
"YET!" I hear one of his friends add from behind him
I don't know what to do because I know if I try standing up for myself they will just laugh at me more then they already do and if I walk away they will follow and make a fool out of me infront of everyone. My only choice is to always just stand there infront of them and soak up their insults and take on the physical and mental pain they give me.
"Look at little Danny boy eh, he can't stand up for himself" Andrew spits
"What? You can't talk. When do you ever talk?" Another one of Andrew friends ask
"I-I D-do-"
"Aw-awww he is tr-trying to spe-spe-speak." Another friend laughs as he trys to imitate me.
Andrew steps closer to me and grabs my shirt to lift me up to make me look at him. He stares at me for a while before laughing
"Do you want to know something about you little friend Phil?" He spits in my face
What does he know about Phil? I dont reply I just stand there trying to avoid eye contact with Andrew but everytime I look away, he pushes my face back and hangs onto my shirt a little tighter almost choking me.
"WELL!?" He yells once more before I agree out of pressure "Well little Philly is on our side" he laughs and turns to his friends for back up
"YEAH!" they all shout
What does he mean by Phil is on their side. Since when were there sides. Phil is a nice person he wouldn't be friends with Andrew and he stood up against Andrew before.
"This whole thing, Phil being nice and helping you is all just a scam." he yells at me " All he is doing is making you feel special before breaking your heart and leaving you broken"
He drops me onto my knees before he and his friends start kicking me and throwing rocks at me. I curl up into a ball with my hands over my head to protect my head from serious damage. I don't call out for help ever, I don't need it they will eventually leave and I will just get small bruises on my body which I tell my parents that I fell over or fell off my bike. Maybe Phil is on their side what kind of a person would enjoy my presence...
As I am getting beaten I hear someone yelling at them telling them to get off me. They stop kicking and throwing things to talk to the person who has interrupted them. I let go of my head to see who is tellling them off I hope it was a teacher.
"Oh hey Phil, are we still going on with the act are we? We already told him the truth you don't need to act anymore" Andrew says to the person
PHIL!? It is true, he is on their side. I get up and run before Andrew, Phil and his friends can cause me anymore pain. I run toward the library not even waiting to hear what Phil says back to Andrew. Tears start to develop in my eyes and run off my cheeks as head towards the library. I hear footsteps running after me but I don't look behind me to see who it is, I am too scared of who it might be.
Phil's POV
Andrew has just told Dan that I am on Andrews side and I am only leading Dan on which isn't true. I saw Dan run off not that long ago while I was telling Andrew off. I decided to run after him and now I am right behind him trying to make him stop.
"DAN STOP! WHAT ANDREW SAID WASN'T TRUE" I yell at him from behind but he doesn't even look behind him to see it was me but I guess with what Andrew just said and his low self-esteem I don't blame him.
He finally decides to look behind him and sees me. When he looks at me he picks up his speed and turns in a completely different direction and our school being the giant maze it is, I loose him.
"Dam it" I say to my self.
I continue running around the school trying to find Dan. I bump into Pj who is coming into school.
"Hey Phil, how are you?" Pj asks
"I don't have time to chat something happened with Dan, did you see where he went?" I ask him
"Oh Shit umm no but he does go into the library a lot I have noticed" Pj says pointing in the direction of the library
"Thanks Peej, I will see you in English Bye" I wave to him and run to the library.
I run into the library and look around until the librarian Mrs Brown asks what I'm looking for.
"Hey Hun, you looking for anything"
"Ah no just a boy with a straight fringe going to the left" I explain
"Oh Dan? Yeah he ran here in a bit of a hurry I guess late homework, he is up in the back corner" Mrs Brown laughs.
I smile at her before walking quickly to the back corner to see Dan on the bean bag in a ball crying. I slowly walk upto him trying not to scare him but being Phil I obvisouly slip on a pencil and fall onto the bean bag next to him. Dan looks at me and realises who I am and tightens him self
"Dan... I am not going to hurt you" I say placing my hand on his back which causes him to tense up
"That's not what Andrew said, you just want to break my heart remember?" Dan cries into the bean bag
"No Dan I don't remember. Andrew is only trying to mess with you, make you weak but no Dan you are not weak, you can be strong." I say "Plus look at me, do I really look like the kind of guy who would backstab someone?"
He sits up on the bean bag to look at me and just give him a small smile. Dan shakes his head in reply to my question and I give him a small giggle.
"See? Will you believe what ever Andrew tells you now?" I giggle and Dan just shakes his head still not talking.
I move in a bit closer to give Dan a hug but as I move closer I see Dan's face go into a little shock and he tenses up. I guess he still doesn't trust me 100% yet but that is fine, you can't expect someone to trust you completly after what Dan just heard, so it's back to square one.
"You do drama right?" I ask Dan and he nods slowly "Well I am still in need of a partner for my assignement how about it?"
I help Dan up off the ground and start heading to drama

Authors note: Hiya guys, I hope you enjoyed that chapter in my opinion I'm not saying I'm a bad writer but it was way better than the last one. There are going to be a few chapters that will probably be the next one that will seem useless but I promise it's to build up a character. See you in the next chapter
