Noah got a good look of the person that escaped through the solid wall he had them pinned against. It was a girl, dressed in all black. She looked to be around 18 but Noah could be sure because she wouldn't step out of the shadow. "Who are you?" Noah demanded.
"My name is Emma. I control darkness, and there is a lot of explaining I need to do. You see, I destroyed that illusion for you out there."
"You can..."
"Yes, don't interrupt. It's one of my abilities. I've been helping you, or at least trying to, for weeks. I couldn't find you after you escaped the mountain, though. I've done everything I could but now that you've broken away from everything you are gonna need a lot of help."
"How can you even..."
"Don't interrupt!" The alley seemed to get darker, the shadows extending out, attacking the sunlight. "As I was saying, I am not the only one that's trying to help you. There's another girl, her name is Sam. She's the controller of memory. If it wasn't for her, you wouldn't have made it this far. If she wasn't actively trying to protect you then you would have been killed long ago."
"What do you mean?!"
Emma took a deep breath, obviously annoyed by Noah talking again. "The master. He said he couldn't see who you were. He only knew that you existed because of the controller of sights vision?"
Noah opened his mouth to speak but then just nodded his head. "Well, that was because every time there was something to learn about you, he would discover it and she would steal his memory. Everything he learn, she stole. That's why he didn't know who you were. And out there too! You heard those guys say that they knew what you could do. Do you think that the master just so happened to forget to tell them that you could steal there energy to kill them? She stole their memory of them learning that. Shes grown stronger than the master."
"Then why doesn't the master kill her?" Emma stared at Noah like he was the stupidest person she'd ever met. "Oh, I see."
"He has no idea she exists. Her and I, we are the only two that the master has forgotten, thanks to her."
"Why don't you just take his memory of me then? Make this whole thing a lot easier."
"Because you've made to much of an impact on to many people. The memory is to strong in the master. While she has grown stronger than him, some memories are still stronger than she is. Now is the time to act. You're the strongest controller we've seen since we started, and we need you."
"Why are you doing this?"
"Why do you keep asking questions?!" The darkness became a void around Noah, no features were able to stand out to him around the alley.
"I'm sorry." Noah couldn't see anything.
"It's fine," light seeped through the darkness. "I'll leave that for Sam to explain. But we need to help get her out. She can't exactly walk out of the mountain on her own. She needs help."
"Well I..."
"We need more than just you. You broke out once, but they are gonna come back stronger. They've already put together another team to kill you. We need more than just you and I to break in and help her get out."
"How are we supposed to get more people though? We're not exactly a recruitment center, and people don't exactly sign up for a cause like this."
"You can find recruits. You can give them the power they need."
"How the hell..."
"Have you not realized? You can steal a person's control, for a short time. How do you think you got that big out there? How you created that new prophecy? How you shattered your own energy field with a sonic boom? You can't be this numb. All we need is to find a recruiter for you to absorb."
Noah stared, dumbstruck. Could he do that? He thought back to all those times. It was the only explanation. He reached out towards Emma with curiosity. She vanished into the shadow and appeared behind him. "Don't be a jackass. What the hell do you think you're doing?"
"Sorry" Noah put his hand by his side. "Just...yeah...so where do we even find a recruiter?"
"They all stay at the bases until they are sent out to recruit new controllers. It usually happens when the world is going into chaos and controlling the way of life gets harder."
"What about if I caused some chaos then?"
Emma rolled her eyes. "Oh my," she said in a sarcastic tone. "What a great idea. Why didn't I think about that?" Noah looked at her with a confused look. "Just go take over the city or something." Noah smirked and a platform lifted him up to the tops of the buildings, electricity jumping off of him and attacking the buildings he flew near. "Numb-skull." Emma said under her breath.

Mark sat with his new team, his sword in his hand. He ran a stone up and down the blade, sharpening it. Adam was filling containers with water, strapping them to different parts of his body. Grimm stared at Mark. The four boys hadn't woke up yet. Grimm spoke, "Is there anything that we should know about this boy?"
"He's...strong. He's filled with anger and motivation. He will not stop until he fulfills his goal. Although, I fear he does not know his own goal yet."
...
Hundreds of miles away, Noah was laughing as people were lifted by hands of energy extending from the tower of electricity that he stood on. Pulses of energy erupted from him, shattering windows and stone alike on surrounding buildings. People screamed, running through the streets and trying to find cover. Most ran for the subway, but Noah noticed. He reached his hand down and a line of energy escaped from his finger and broke through the ground, hitting a train attempting to leave.
An explosion blew a massive hole in the ground, killing any civilians underground. Emma watched from the ground. People ran past her screaming or crashing into one another. People tried to escape in their cars but Noah took the energy from those first. Then he stole energy from the buildings, leaving the city totally energy free.
Nothing could save this city. Nobody was coming to help. Nobody could stop Noah...and he knew it.
