Noah tip-toed back to Wade's room silently. Entering the room, he silently freaked out. Wade was now dressed and had his laptop in its bag across his shoulder.
"Dude" Wade said, "Calm down."
"I-I-I..." Nothing would come out. He was too shocked, even he couldn't explain what was happening to him.
"OK, lets just... Um.... Go find out whats happening to you."
"Uh, how do you expect to do that?"
"I don't know! Let's just... go" He walked out of his room and Noah followed. Leaving the house, Wade grabbed his bike from it's hiding spot and his scooter for Noah. They traveled around town, talking and coming up with theories, until they realized that they had no idea where they were.
Looking around, they realized they didn't even know how they got there. Trees blocked their view of the sky but sunlight squeezed through breaks in the leaves and branches. There was no obvious trail to where they were but it had to be somewhere because two other people seemed to be waiting for them.
Two other guys, talking with each other, stood in front of them. They obviously didn't know each other before today. At the arrival of Noah and Wade, the two stopped talking to look at them. "Who are you?" One of them declared.
"Um, I'm..."
"Dude!" Noah cut Wade off. "We don't know them!"
"And we don't know you!" The same man argued.
After a brief thought, Wade continued. "I'm Wade, and this is Noah. Who are you?"
"I'm Will, and this is Andrew." They stood in silence for a moment, staring at each other. "Any idea what we're doing here?"
Before Noah opened his mouth, a figure floated in from above.
"I believe I can answer that question." The person floated down until he stood between them. "But let us wait for our last two companions to arrive."
Moments later, another person, by the name of Richard, arrived. Moments after that, a boy by the name of Steven arrived.
"Gentlemen, I have brought you all here today because it was requested of me to find new warriors. You all must have lots of questions, but I can tell you now that they will only be answered in time. For now, all you must know is that you will find that you have new abilities that you can not control yet. I can offer training, and you will accept it. If you do not, you will be replaced and killed. Nobody outside of this group will know what is going on, and nobody outside of this group will know who you really are, do you all understand me?"
There was silence among the six.
"Great, in order for you to know who you can talk to and who you must keep in the dark, you must look for the mark. I assume you have all found it?"
Still silence.
"Come on then! Someone speak!" After a few moments Noah stepped forward. Mark focused his gaze on him, a spark of curiosity showing for only a brief moment.
"D-do you mean...?"
"Yes" The man said, interrupting Noah. "That print on your shoulder. That is the mark."
"But..." Noah gathered his confidence for one quick question. "What about Wade?" He made a small gesture to his friend.
"He bares the mark as well." Noah turned to look at Wade, who avoided his gaze.
"I....uh... saw it at the house. While I was getting dressed. I didn't..uh... want to worry you with another hand print so I...kept it to myself." Wade lifted his sleeve to reveal a red hand print, identical to the one Noah had on his shoulder. The others did the same to show their marks.
"Well," The floating figure stated. "Now that that's out of the way, lets get started.
