Four men walked through the stone hall towards their other four companions. They were the same, but somehow different. Mark's old team was new and improved. The four men stood among their sitting, more experienced, partners. Andrew was the first to speak. "So, where do we go to take Noah down?"

"There is a city." John said as he stood. "Noah is doing something there. The fear built up there, it is to much for even me to calm."

The master strolled behind the four new warriors. "He is taking over the city. I don't know his plan, but it is likely he is trying to drag you out."

"But he doesn't know about the team yet, does he?"

"We must assume he knows everything. I am unable to read him, therefore I do not know what he knows. Never the less, if that is what he wants he will get it. We can't afford to wait and let him destroy what we've built up. Centuries of helping normal people live normal lives, its to much to let one boy destroy it. The city he has unveiled himself in will have to go though. Grimm, you can do that when Noah is eliminated. It is the only way."

"What if more people find out? There's the internet now and people talk."

"Then we destroy all evidence. I can prevent small groups from spreading the knowledge if needed but if we are discovered to widely...then we will have to terminate the problem." They waited in silence for anyone to say anything. "But first, we must eliminate the source. So...go kill this Noah, destroy the city, and report back here."

...

Noah continued to hover in the air, looking over his city. Any survivors were hiding where he couldn't find them, although he wasn't looking. He didn't want to kill anyone, but he needed to if he was going to survive. He needed to stop the master's plans and any plans that he made if Noah was going to survive. He looked down at the street and noticed Emma waving for him. He floated down and landed beside her.

"You've done enough for now. There's no way they don't know now. Which means one of two things. One: they are gonna send their new team. The one with your old teammates on it to try to kill you and cover their tracks. Or two: another base is going to send a scout to see what the trouble is and hopefully that scout will be a recruiter that you can take down."

"Which do you think is more likely?"

"Well, seeing as how the team already left and is coming our way, I don't see it likely that we're getting a recruiter down before they get here. But that leads me to some bad news for you."

"I don't mind taking down my old friends..." He thought back to Wade for a moment. Could he take down Wade? He was his only real friend for the longest time. He shook off the feeling, still unsure. "I can handle it."

"Well that's good, because we still need you to take a recruiter on, and there's one coming with the team."

Noah stared at her, confused. Why would they send a recruiter when they could send a controller? Somebody with much more of a chance to defeat Noah. Then he realized it. "Mark."

"Yup. So, don't absorb him immediately. At least, not totally. We need to bring him to a populated area so when you absorb his ability you can get some new guys right there."

"Oh...Ok. I can do that."

"We don't have much time, so I'd get what energy you can and get ready. I'll help when I can, but I can't promise I'll have your back the entire time. I'm sticking to the shadows, no matter what."

Noah nodded his head and Emma vanished in his shadow. The sun began to sink below the rooftops way above him. He stood in the middle of the street, his arms outstretched. Light and electricity stretched from the buildings and holes in the ground to connect with his fingertips.
