The battle was brutal. Half the time Noah didn't know what was going on. One minute he would be throwing a lightning bolt at one of them, the next Andrew would step in the way at the last second and take the hit. The next minute flaming vines would form around Noah and sound waves would cause them to burst. For every attack one of them threw, the other could deflect it somehow.
Noah's strategy was to separate them and take them out one by one, but they weren't letting him. "Didn't I let you live last time? You owe me one, but I'm a generous man. I'll accept your surrender if..."
Silus saw that Will was not the kind of guy that would let Noah get away with trash talking for long. It's why he wasn't surprised when he noticed a vine erupting from under Noah's car, sending it flying towards Noah. It slowed its decent toward Noah to a slow crawl. Noah stopped mid sentence with his mouth hanging open. Silus walked over to where Noah stood and pushed him out of the way, forcing him into Silus's perception of frozen time.
Noah looked around from his seat on the ground. It took him what was a moment, but actually no time at all, to realize his car was floating above him. He stood up and looked at Silus, fist pumping. "Go Silus! That's what i'm talking about!" Noah flew up and grabbed his car out of the air with a hand of energy.
"Can you..." Silus forced his eyes closed and gripped his head. Noah landed beside him, the car landing beside them gently. Noah looked at him worriedly,
"What's wrong?"
Silus took a deep breath. "Everytime you move something out of place, it enters this perception I guess. Which means I have to keep this perception going with more in it which is more difficult."
"Remind me and we'll work on that. Here, I'll try to help. Keep this up and you might get a raise."
"You don't pay me though."
"It's just an expression."
"No it's not."
"Fine then, do you think you'd be able to handle me bringing these three..." Noah gestured to the three in his car. "...out of nap time?"
Silus contemplated. "I can't hold this for much longer, but I can give you enough time to wake up maybe one. I'm getting a splitting headache from keeping it up this long."
"Sounds good." Noah knew exactly which one he wanted to wake up. He waved his hand in Silus's direction and Silus felt a surge of energy. Then Noah ran to the car and placed his hand on the most familiar companion.
Will watched as the car was coming down on Noah who was being his normal sarcastic, asshole, self. He smiled as the car was about to make contact but made the mistake of a single blink. The scene changed before his eyes. The car was safely on the ground with no damages and Noah safely stood beside the car with one of his companions he manipulated into following him.
Noah laughed at Will who glared at him from a distance. "I'm sorry, that was rude. I take that laugh back. I meant to insult you and then laugh. I can do better." Noah gestured to Silus who stood next to him. "You meet Silus yet? He can do things with your clock like you'd never believe."
Will's eyes widened. "No." He whispered to himself. Andrew appeared at his side, grabbing his shoulder.
"You need to move Will, we need you to fight. You know how strong he is. We ALL need to hit him at once to take him down. We can't do it without you."
Will continued to stare at Silus. The darkness grew thicker around him. He heard a yell from help coming from Richie and Steven's battle cry as light exploded out, allowing him to rescue Richie from what appeared to be some kind of animal that morphed back into another of Noah's companions.
