Juliette stares at us with cold, unfeeling eyes, and an eerily sinister smile.

The spot where I hit her has no visible injuries.

Ah, it's going to be pretty hard to hurt her then, with that darn healing anomaly.

Immediately, my instinct is to raise my crossbow.

When I go to shoot, I hear the unfortunate click that means I'm out of arrows already.

Gray must've only been able to partly reload it.

I look to Nox, with his gun, but I see in his wide eyes that he won't be able to shoot her.

Mercedes has the same expression, and I know that I can't make these kids kill her.

They're all still clinging desperately to the mother they once knew in Juliette.
Even the young ones, who shrugged it off like it was nothing, wouldn't be able to do it.

So, as a frantic plan B, I grab Nox and Mercedes and start running, tugging them along.

They snap out of their frightened daze, running with me.

We burst into room 261.

"Run!" Mercedes shouts, and we take off again, hoping the others will follow.

I turn around, hoping that we've lost Juliette, but oh no. She's still running, and now, she's got company.

5 night-shadows run along side her.

Juliette and the night-shadows chase us down the stairs, and to the cellar.

The thought of the tornado rests in the back of my mind, but I push it away, opening the cellar.

Everyone scrambles out. I climb out last, slamming the doors shut behind me.

The wind whips my hair around, and the rain pelts against my face, but I ignore it.

"Make it stop, Mercedes!" Nora cries, pressing her palms to her ears.

"I would if I could, Nor, but it's not me!" Mercedes shouts back.

We start to run towards the cars, but just then, Juliette bursts out of the cellar.

Before we make it to the cars, the night-shadows surround us in a semi-circle, with our backs to the wall.

My eyes dart frantically around, trying to find a way out.

My back bumps against something on the wall, and I turn around.

The fire escape.

I quickly start sending kids up, but the night-shadows start advancing.

I can barely see them through the rain, along with the dark clouds.

I'm about to create a distraction, but then Oakley steps in front of me.

He places four little objects on the ground, and all of a sudden, they grow up to irrational size.

Four giant dinner tables, from the hotel. They block the night-shadows from getting to us, but they won't for long.

After Oakley, I scramble up the fire escape, onto the roof.

The wind is even worse up here.

"There's no way out!" I scream above the wind.
