Labyrinth 2

It's a piece of cake.

"Don't you think its a bit strange that, Posy's now 14. And, I'm only 23... making me a EXTEMELY young mother?" Magenta finally realises

Jareth thinks to us all.

So? as long as you don't tell Posy your real age, she'll never know. Just lie.

Magenta just nods. It would be strange if she had Posy at 9 years old!

"Posy?" Posy turns around to her beautiful, yet dangerous looking mother. "Why don't you go and explore the castle? If you need us-" Posy interrupts Magenta

"I'll think of one of you. I know how it goes mum!" She opens the door carelessly

"Be careful my darling." Magenta whispers

"she'll be fine, she's a brave little thing don't forget!" Iris says after her

"Not as brave as some." Shadow says drinking his wine again

They all turn around to him. "Meaning?" Jareth says harshly, with a hard tone.

Sarah puts her hand on his chest, making him relax for a minute. Sarah just looks into his eyes, as in a "Keep calm" look. He nods at her, but narrows his eyes to Shadow again

"Well, she's a 14 year old girl, who hasn't even see the world! She hasn't seen nothing yet, she hasn't seen war, sadness, love. none of it. She's not brave. She's blind to the world." Shadow said spilling his wine over the floor as he got up in anger.

"Don't you dare! You're just jealous Shadow!" Felix raises his voice

"What? JEALOUS?! Of a girl? please." Shadow rolls his eyes.

"No, it makes sense now." Sarah walks away from Jareth slowly with a quiet voice.

"Sarah?" Ruebella questions

"Don't you see? Shadow. The shadow of Jareth. The crown was going to be passed down to Jareth no matter what, and Shadow was the shadow of the crown... Close to it, but never close enough.... Shadow is thirsting for a land, to be a King." Sarah finishes whilst the whole family turn angrily at Shadow.

Shadow starts applauding Sarah sarcastically. "Well done little Sarah! You are a clever girl aren't you!?"

"Yes, I am. I'd like to see you try and get through the Labyrinth within 13 hours." she folds her arms. "Ruebella, take the kids out the room, I don't want them to see any of this." And then, Ruebella hurries Posy, Toby and Ryanth out of the room. Jareth stands behind Sarah and puts his hand on her shoulder.

"Please, it runs in the blood to solve it." Shadow replied.

"Face it Shadow." Sarah tuts "You will never get a crown, and you've been lying to the whole family. You said you cared about Posy. Really, you just want her dead, or gone, because you think its rightfully yours, because your 'Next in line'" Sarah continues

"You only married Jareth because you were guarantied a land!" Shadow shouted childishly

This was when Jareth jumped in.

"SHADOW!" Jareth roared "How dare you...!"

Sarah grabs Jareth's hand and pulls him back to her.

Jareth it's ok...

Sarah thought to him and him only.

"You said the Labyrinth was easy? Then fine..." Then this was where Sarah remembered. "You have 13 hours in which to solve the Labyrinth and show to Sarah it does run in the family." Sarah shivered at the horrid thought of her memory. "It's your turn Shadow."

"It'll be a piece of cake." Shadow laughs.

"Oh so you say the Labyrinth is a piece of cake? That's see how you take this slice." And Shadow disappeared after Jareth's comment

As soon as he went, a crystal popped out of Jareth's leather jacket pocket. It floated in the air, turning into a bubble showing Shadow at the start of the Labyrinth

"I wonder if he'll do what you did," Jareth said to Sarah "What, start running down the Labyrinth and ask a worm for help?" Sarah replied

"Maybe not then, he won't ask for help. He think he can do it on his own..." Magenta smirks at her comment

"That's true. But, he has seen a bit of the Labyrinth before, from the window." Jareth worries

"Doesn't mean he's worked it all out. It goes into his head, and out his head." Magenta replies

Shadow was struggling, it was in his eyes.... panic. He was looking around, trying to find a turning. When he saw the worm, it changed. "Help me." He shouted

"With that tone, I don't think so sunshine!" The worm replied laughing

Shadow rolled his eyes and went to go hit his head on the wall, that's when he went forward and had found a passage way. "See, I never really needed help!" Shadow smirks and takes right... Same way as Sarah

"Do you think he'll do it?" Sarah whispers

"No. It'll prove he's not as strong as he says he is." Jareth says back

"But, even if he doesn't get through, he'll still challenge Posy or me to go into the Labyrinth." Magenta panics

"Yes, but you've been round the Labyrinth. And whatever you see, so does Posy. but, if he does choose, I hope he chooses you... Posy would struggle." Jareth worries too

"He hates Posy though..." Magenta says "I'll have to make him hate me as much as he hates Posy,"

They all nod

Shadow was still doing this on his own, he ignored everyone who was near. He couldn't do it without help could he?

They all hoped not. Sarah watched the bubble to see what Shadow did differently. The only thing he was doing differently was not asking for help, and he wasn't trying to get back a younger sibling.

Jareth opened the balcony doors and stood at the edge of it. Music started playing.

Magic Dance.

Sarah thought to herself. And Jareth began to sing. He knew Shadow would be able to hear him. But they all laughed to themselves.

Posy and the boys ran through the door and began to dance in the middle of the room Sarah and Magenta laughed at there cute attempts, Sarah turned around as Jareth was singing as loud as he could and walked up to him, she held his hand and began to sing with him. Magenta came out and held Sarah's hand and joined in, along with Alfie, Felix, Iris and Ruebella. This was going to annoy Shadow very much.

Sarah went back to bubble, to see this had no effect on shadow at all, and was fairly close to the Labyrinth

"JARETH! Turn time forward! Shadow's close!" Sarah shouts

"It's only been a few hours!" Magenta replies in fury

Jareth turns it forward by 4 hours, making the girls calm down a bit. This wasn't going to slow down Shadow though....
