Ditching (Oops! Part 2)

Natsu's Pov:

I planned to make this day the best for more than one reason.

I led her towards a street fair in town and hung out.

I felt like Lucy was hiding something big from me.

"Are you okay?" I asked worried.

"I'm great. No worries." She didn't meet me in the eyes.

I led her to a little alley hidden in between two buildings and hugged her tight.

She slowly hugged me back and I heared her sob a bit.

"Nothing's wrong. Really?"

"I'll tell you later okay? This isn't the time or the place."

"You can tell me everything. I promise I will protect you. I want you to be happy. Let's make this day worthwhile. Okay?"

"Okay." She smiled by wiping the tears from her face calming herself.

We walked for a bit more and played some games and ate.

Lucy looked like she was having a great time.

And maybe later when she tells me what's bothering her maybe I can tell her something really close to my heart.

I sighed and smiled and Lucy stopped for a moment and we heard a concert going on in the town square.

We went towards the stage and listened to the song.

Lucy smiled shyly at me and I smiled back at her winding our fingers together.

She laid her head on my shoulder and I didn't mind. It felt right and hopefully Lucy felt it to.

No one's Pov:

Lisanna glared at Lucy and Natsu spotted her from the corner of his eye and anger bubbled up inside of him but he kept his calm.

"Cmon Luce let's go."

"Natsu, what's wrong?"

"Nothing... C'mon."

Natsu's Pov:

She grumbled slightly as we walked away and I led her by the park.

"I saw Lisanna." I said softly.

"She gonna kill me. Great..."

"Luce." Natsu held her hand.

She took her hand away.

"I'm sorry. I gotta go."

"You not leaving."

"I have to."

"Why?"

"Because that's the only way you can protect me!" She cried.

"What?"

"I have to stay away from you because if I don't she'll hurt me again."

"I can't let you do that."

"Why not?"

"Because I can't stay away from you Luce! I-I just can't because I love you! I love you so much. I wanna protect you, hold you, love you but if that puts you in danger! I'm sorry." Tears streamed down my face.

Lucy hugged me "I'm sorry. I'm just scared. I don't wanna get hurt again and I love you too Natsu."

"Luce." I hugged her even tighter and she looked up at me with tears in her eyes smiling.

"Is that what you had to tell me yesterday after school?"

"Nope."

"Oh?"
