Too Close?

Lucy's Pov:

It has been a rough few weeks knowing that the guy you love has a girlfriend, who isn't yourself.

Natsu and Lisanna started dating two months ago, and it seems that I don't exist.

I go to jobs by myself or with Wendy and Carla, and stay home a lot and not at the guild because they're probably kissing their faces off.

At least they're happy together.

At least he's happy...

even if he isn't with me.

Natsu's Pov:

It has been a couple of months, Lis and I have been together since she asked me out. We spend so much time together and going on jobs; I rarely see Lucy.

I miss her.

Lis was helping Mira in the kitchen when Lucy walked in and went to the board and grabbed a job.

"Hey, Mira!" She called.

"Oi, Lucy!" I smiled and waved.

"Hi, Natsu." She replied not looking me in the eye.

Mira came out of the kitchen and smiled and stamped the job, "Your super busy now, aren't you Lucy?"

"Yeah, I gotta pay rent, and I'm a little short."

"Oh."

"Well, I'm going to go complete this job, and I'll be back for another in two days for another one."

"One job after another? You need a break."

"No, it's fine. It's just to have extra money, just a simple town job."

"Don't overwork yourself it's bad Luce," I said

"I won't, and I'll be fine. I have to go now." She stated flatly and swiftly left.

Lucy's Pov:

I forgot to had to tell Master something, so I went up the stairs quickly.

"She seems different," I said worriedly to Mira.

"Who?" Lis asked coming out of the kitchen.

"Lucy."

"Probably nothing to worry about. She's not that important anyway."

"Lis-"

"She just working a lot more because she not as strong as you to go on harder jobs."

"Don't talk about Lucy that way," I growled.

"What? Why?"

"She's my friend and your talking trash about her."

"So? She was the weakest one on your team. She barely comes to the guild anymore. I don't think she's ever part of this guild of how little she comes."

"LISANNA." I yelled.

"I'm only stating facts."

"Your only stating bullshit."

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me. Bullshit."

"So that's what you really think of me Lis." Lucy said coming down the stairs and walking in front of us.

"Lucy? I thought you left." I replied puzzled.

"No, actually I went upstairs to talk to Master," She started sobbing, "Your right Lis. I am the weakest one here, so I'm leaving the guild." She lifted her right hand, her insignia was gone.
