Natsumi's POV

It was a nice, sunny Tuesday afternoon here in Kita Hiragimokuzai Valley. All classes were already dismissed, as it was the end of school for the day. Final exams were already done and over with, so I finally felt like a burden has been lifted off of me, making me more carefree and relaxed!

I headed to the school soccer field for the usual school soccer practice. Soccer practice was on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I was obviously prepared, as I wore my school soccer uniform. I had my sports bag with me containing all of my refreshments.

I speed walked to the field as I held onto the straps of my sports bag, looking forward to today's soccer practice.

I finally arrived at the school soccer field, greeted by the sight of the girls soccer team members and our coach. The members were chatting with one another.

"Sup, people!" I greeted eagerly, getting some of the members' attention as I raised my hand in the air.

"Ah! Natsumin, you're finally here." The captain of the girls soccer team, Sonata Hoshizora, greeted.

"You were the last member we were waitin' on!" A team member pointed out.

"O-oh, uh..." I chuckled, scratching the back of my head, "Sorry!"

"Everyone..." The soccer coach said, getting all of the members' attention, "Before we start the usual soccer practice, I'd like to make an important announcement."

"Eh?" The team members and I looked at each other, full of curiosity. There were quiet chatters among the members, as they were curious on what the announcement will be.

"Everyone, bring it in." The coach said, gesturing her hands towards herself.

The members and I gathered around her, prepared to here the announcement.

"Ahem." She cleared her throat before speaking, "The national school sports tournament is coming up, for those who don't know." She stated calmly.

My eyes widened slightly at her statement.

The national... school sports tournament?

Chatters of excitement started to pick up.

"The national school sports tournament?!" One member said.

"Yup." The coach replied, nodding as her arms were crossed, "It's that time of year when it'll take place."

"Amazing!"

"But... isn't the end of the first school term near?"

"Why yes, it is!" The coach responded, full of enthusiasm, "And I'll explain how everything is going to work."

She cleared her throat before speaking once more, "So, here's how stuff's goin' to work. First, let me make this as clear as possible: the reason why the big tournament will be held near the end of the first term and near the summer is because it gives the participants plenty of time to practice and work hard!" The coach revealed, energy lacing her voice.

"Ahhh, I get it now!"

"And as for the tournament itself, there will obviously be other sports too other than soccer."
