Chapter 5: Royal Star

I'm at the club again. Brittany came with us too (obviously). I waste time on my phone while everyone else is dancing. I pretty much only come here for the free wi-fi. My mother sent me a new message. She says that some men came at our house and asked some weird questions about me. They weren't threatening her, but they kind of forced her to talk. The wanted to know where I was born and the time. She had to show them my birth certificate. They supposedly asked about my twin sister and since she didn't know anything about it, they got irritated. They asked her for some DNA testing, then they left her alone. She says she has no clue what is going on.

Luckily, I was able to answer this time: '' Mom, they know about the twin. Why didn't you tell me?''

At this time, my mother must be asleep. It is 4h30 AM on earth. The song ''House party'' from DJ Antoine starts playing, then my sexy Darkanen appears right in front of me. I try to act like nothing is going on, I just ignore him when he passes beside me to go the the bathroom. When he's out of sight, I start laughing out loud. Then, I realize I'm alone at the table looking like a fool. Sorry, but he makes me so uncomfortable. I'm not usually the type of girl who gets extremely shy and blushes when she sees her crush, but with him it's different. No! I didn't want to say a crush. I just meant that he's hot. The man comes out and ignores me completely. I don't get it. One day he stares for hours, the other he ignores me. Okay, I guess he's just copying me on this one. Well he's so freaking sexy that if I stare it ain't gonna be subtle at all, you know. I'm always too obvious. Okay, let's try smiling at him next time. Wow, that's a big move. Am I gonna be able to do it?

Joanna is coming.

Joanna: What was that? A competition of who can ignore the other one the best? Haha.

Crystal: Something like that. I don't get him. One day I exist, the other one I don't.

Joanna: It's weird, I must admit it.

I show Joanna the message my mother sent me on Facebook. Her reaction to this is very unexpected.

Joanna: I didn't plan on telling you this so soon. I'm sorry to break this to you, but... It's because Nathalie isn't biologically your mother my love. She's the one who raised you, who protected you. Your biological mother is a Dreamlander. A lil' blondie with blue-green eyes, just like you. Same superpowers, same artistic talent, openness and compassionate qualities. At first I though you already knew about it.

I should come as a surprise, but to be honest I had some suspicions about it already for various reasons. At least I know the truth now.

Crystal: Oh, now that makes more sense. I finally get why I'm the blonde sheep of the family. What about my twin?

She starts laughing out loud.

Joanna: Oh my god. Like I said yesterday, she's practically your mirror. Not the silhouette or personality, but your share almost every facial features and fashion style. Wait until you know who she is.

Crystal: Do you think she knows?

Joanna: By the way she acted towards you? Absolutely not.

Crystal: So it means I know her?

I stop talking because Miss Melody is coming. She always chooses the best timings. I'm trying to be polite since it's the mature thing to do, but man this girl is annoying. What does she want again?

Melody: Emmanuel's aunt. I mean Babe's mom. I didn't recognize you in time yesterday. I'm sorry. So I came to say hi.

Joanna: Hi Melody. I see you haven't changed a bit.
