Chapter 25: The Dream

At Sam's place - June 17, 2023. 4h30 

We're having a little get together at Sam's place. So much have changed since the last time we saw each other. Brittany and Babe are on good terms again. Brittany and Liam the electrician have been dating for a year now and expecting a baby. Brittany got a promotion at work. Sam and his girlfriend just bought this new house we're in right now and it's flawless. And... they're expecting too. They both wanted kids for a while so I'm happy for them. And Babe? He's still talking to Shawn, but he never admitted his feelings to him. And yes, I said feelings. The guy is really into him now. They're closer than ever. As for me and Antoine, we're still together. Audrey is growing up pretty well. 

Shawn comes in and sits right next to Babe. 

Sam: What do we do tonight? To which bar do we start? Haha we don't even drink. 

Babe: I say we play Truth or dare. 

Brittany: Ouf... 

In a little summary, Sam had to chug a bottle of cola. His girlfriend had to sing ''Oh! Canada'' in an Opera version. Brittany had to admit to never cheating on a test at school. Shawn had to admit he had already farted in church. I had to admit I never had a speeding ticket... yet. Antoine had to imitate a girl moaning. And Babe... he had to kiss Shawn on the mouth. I'm not the one who made him do that. It was Liam, Brittany's boyfriend. I guess he saw that too. 

Babe grabs him by the waist and pull him closer, kissing him gently on the lips. Shawn reciprocated. Babe grabs his hand and kisses it. Shawn hugs him. 

Babe: I've been wanting this for such a long time, but I didn't know how to tell you... 

Shawn: Me too... 

Babe: I love you. 

Shawn: I love you too, Mr. DJ. 

The rest of the evening went pretty well. Shawn read tarot for a few people while the rest chatted in the living room while listening to country music. I decided to get a reading. Apparently, there's a big surprise coming for me. It didn't mention what it is but I'll need to make a decision soon. I thank Shawn for the reading and go back to the living room. Antoine is waiting for me there with his arms wide open. He kisses me on the forehead. We spend the rest of the evening chatting about life and stuff. 

In Crystal's room - 8h47

After I get home and put Audrey to bed, I decide to continue my story. It's a bit late so I don't write much. As they keep on saying, when you turn 30 years old you don't have the energy you used to have... and I turned 30 this year.  Now I know that there's a surprise coming soon. What could it be? Knock knock. I don't write much, Antoine is at the door. 

Antoine: I'm sorry I'm here this late. I've missed you so much. I just... I want you so bad. 

Crystal: Oh. Come here darling. 

 It doesn't take time for the clothes to fall on the floor. He usually doesn't spend the night in my room as we both can't sleep in bed together, but we spoke for such a long time after we made love that we fell asleep in each other's arms. 

Sunday June 18, 2023 - In Crystal's room, 8h36 am 

Antoine and I keep teasing and kissing each other. That's when I hear ''Mooom'' 

Antoine: I'll go. 

I dress up really quick and not long after, Beebe appears, laughing with her dad. 

Audrey: Mom I had a dream that a big, big girafe ate my cotton candy at the zoo. Grr. 

Crystal: Is that so.
