Chapter 10: Love Game

The week was very draining. Not because the job called me in to work, because they never did. They just don't have anything to give me because the kids are back to school and the employees with more seniority takes care of the little ones. Joanna doesn't work either. I am drained because I was waiting for Antoine to accept my friend request and he never did. I have been stressed out and imagining things all week. Honestly, I don't blame him for ignoring it. He probably thinks I played him or something, that I wanted to sleep around before going back to him. That's so not the case here. But how could he know? Tuesday, I saw the king in the hallway on the way back to my room and he waved at me. That's it. I spent 4 days at my grandparents place. Grandma took good care of me with her delicious tea and English biscuits.

In the evening, Brittany ask me to go to the club with her because Babe is playing. It feels like the bar is my second home these days. It's not like I have anything better to do anyway. I put on my black blouse with red flowers on it and straighten my long platinum blonde hair. I wear my usual high boots made in black leather and a pair of jeans.

Dreamer's Fantasy Nightclub, 12h34 PM

The club is packed today, unlike last week. Babe spots us right away and waves at us. I already lost Brittany, who's gone to the bar to order her usual pitcher of Rocket fuel. I try passing between people to reach her and comes face to face with Antoine, who decides to dab and look away. Oww, that hurts. Act like it's nothing, okay girl?

They used to play that song back home in Campbellton. I finally reach Brittany and tells her what just happened. He's obviously pissed at me. I lift my head and look through the bar and find him sitting at the opposite side, looking at me. He looks away immediately. Brittany tends me a Blue Lagoon cocktail. 

Brittany: Drink it up fast and go talk to him. Don't be a coward.

Crystal: No...

I get up and go find Babe on the deck. At least that one seems happy to see me.

Babe: Hello chérie! You want to make a request? 

Crystal: Nah, not for now. Well, wait a minute. Do you have ''Available'' from Flo Rida ft. Akon (Benny Benassi Remix) ? 

Babe: Let me guess, it has a special meaning. 

Am I looking for trouble? Crystal, what's up with you? That's not you. 

Crystal: Never mind. It is my favorite song, but yeah the lyrics are not appropriate for someone like me. 

Babe: But you're available! 

Crystal: Single, but doesn't want to mingle. Just drop it. 

In the song it says '' I'm finally free, Leave you ex at home and things like that''. It would piss off Antoine even more. Babe puts on ''To the club'' from Bodybangerz instead. Brittany makes an appearance with a drink in her hand, dancing.

Brittany: '' Monday night, to the club...Friday night didn't wanna go but my friend Michelle calls me on the phone, so I went to the club... '' This song represents us, right? Hey Babe, can you put on ''Pornstar'' for me, later?

Babe: Always the same song. You never get tired of it, do you? 

Brittany: '' Come shake that ass just like a Pornstar. '' No, never.
