Chapter 14: Dream Catcher

Jessy's POV

I heard their voices. Every of their voices. My mom who said that she loves me very. My sister who apologized to me for being rude. And lastly, Jay's one. I don't want him to fire me. I love working in his company. I love my friends here. I love this place. and I opened my eyes.

The first person I saw was JAY. And my mom stood right beside him. I saw my friends and my siblings there. I was too tired. I dreamt about having them with me. They loved me very much. I didn't see the dark but only light. But suddenly I feel blank out.

''Jessy, don't be stupid'', the same voice haunting me.

Edwin.....

I saw him standing before them. I got panicked. I heard mom, Jay, Harley and others voices but I couldn't stop myself from resisting until I felt someone inject something in me. I calmed down myself and I started to feel sleepy.

I don't know how long I slept off but when I open my eyes, I saw my mother standing right in front of me, holding my hand. Tears flow from her eyes. Charles and Harley stood next to my mom.

''You OK, dear'', my mom asked me softly, make me to shed my tears. It's been so long I didn't hear her call me like that.

''mom'', I started to sob. My mom hugged me tightly, like she won't ever leave me ever. I cried in my mom's arms after so long. I wanted to stay like this forever. I saw Jay who entered inside with the doctor. The doctor asked everyone to wait at outside except for Jay. I don't know why he doctor asked him to stay.

''You OK, Jessy?'', he asked me.

I nod and gave him a small smile.

''No, you are not OK, isn't it?'', his question startled me.

''Are you having nightmares?'', he pointed it out. I couldn't talk anything. I was thinking on how to reply him.

''d.... don't tell anything to my family.'', I said that while looked at my knotted fingers.

''don't worry. That's why I ask them all to go out'', doctor's words make me relieved.

My mother seemed restless and she is old. I don't want her to worried about me anymore.

''So, tell me. When you woke up, what you saw?'', he asked.

''Edwin....'', I told him without my realizing.

''And who is Edwin?'', he asked.

''My......'', I stopped. I don't know why.

''Did he always appear in your dream?'', he asked me and I nodded my head.

''Did he hurt you?'', he questioned me more. Tears flow from my eyes.

''Don't strain yourself. Even though you woke up, you are still weak mentally and physically. I don't know what happened to your past. But it haunted you because you receive a sudden shock, maybe in your past"

"That's why even without your realizing, it appeared in your mind subconsciously. I will prescribe sleeping pills for you. At the same time, you need to be strong. Don't store everything in your heart and mind. And I suggest you to take therapy to clear your mind. You need it now.'', doctor advise me.

''Thank you very much'', I told him.

''I didn't do anything. It's all because of your friends and family. They stay by your side', he smiled while said that. I smiled too.

I'm really grateful to God to have such good friends. The doctor left the place. I saw Jay who sat at the edge of my bed, next to me. I don't know why but I couldn't talk anything.
