Chapter 22: The best way

''J....Jessy....'', my voice breaks seeing her expression. She looked so pale.

''w....what did you said? E...Edwin i....is alive'', her voice is trembling. And her body started to shiver. I couldn't help myself than just nod. She was too shocked. And she started to fell unconscious but I made to hold her.

''God, it must be a big blown for her'', Leon told me as I carried her. I put her on the bed while holding her hand. She must be really shocked.

God, I don't want to see her like this. Leon walked out from the house, leaving us some space. I couldn't sleep the whole night. She had the nightmares again and again and I calmed her down.

At least, I can do that. The next day, when I woke up and found Jessy who is not in my arms. I went to downstairs. Jessy carry a luggage and walking out from the house. Alivia was there. When she about to walk, I block her. She stared at me.

''What are you doing?'', I asked her angrily.

''I want to leave this place'', she said without even turning to see me.

''you can't go anywhere. Your place is here'', I strictly told her.

''Jessy siz, what's the matter? Did Jay scold you?'', Alivia asked Jessy. I saw Jessy who looked pale.

''Jessy, please....'', I started while stepping towards her. She stood there while looking at me.

''I know I shouldn't hide this matter from you but I don't want to make you panicked. See, how you behave now....'', I told her.

''You don't know what he is capable of. I don't angry because you hid the matter from me. But... he will kill you or people related to you. Let this end with me, Jay'', she told me while dropping her tears.

God, I hate to see her tears.

''Jessy, I can handle him.'', I said.

''No, you are not damn it'', she yelled. I never see her in this expression. She looked in pain.

''Do you want him to kill your sister?'', she asked. ''So, you choose now. Me or your sister'', she asked.

I was really speechless. What she told was right. One day, I need to choose between them both. If something happens to Alivia, I can't forgive myself. I promised myself that I want to protect her. but I want to protect Jessy too.

What should I say to her now?

''He wants me. If he gets what he wants, he won't harm others. Please.... Don't come for me again. Let this pain end with me'', she said while walking out from there.

''Jay, what the hell is happening around me?'', Alivia yelled. I told Alivia everything. Alivia was shocked.

''God, so many things happened but you didn't tell me anything?'', she looked exasperated. She sighed.

''I trust you, Jay.'', Alivia's word makes me see her.

''don't let Jessy siz take any hasty decision. She needs us more than anything. Let us find a solution to overcome this OK'', Alivia said it softly.

I feel much better after heard her words. I really needed those words. I hug Alivia while thanking her.

''But.... Can I see his photo? Maybe I can contact you if I saw him anywhere'', she asked me. I took out my phone and open the gallery and show it to her. Alivia looked shocked seeing Edwin.

''My God, is this Edwin?'', she asked me.

''What the matter?''

''When I stayed in Jessy siz apartment. I saw him many times. He lives in the next door'', she pointed it out. I was shocked.

'SHIT!!'', only that word came out from my mouth. I quickly stand up.

''I need to meet Jessy, stay here'', I ran out from the house. No wonder that time he was able to enter inside her house last time.

God, Jessy...

Jessy POV

I don't want to leave him but this is the better way. I can't believe that Edwin is still alive. I can't believe that he is coming after me. God, what should I do? I was on my way to my apartment. When I about to enter inside the entrance, someone call by my name. I turned back and see Charles who is standing beside the pole.

''Hey siz... I missed you so much'', Charles told me. All I need is someone with me. As soon as I see him, I ran towards him and hugged him. My tears shed from my eyes. Charles looked shocked.

''Jessy siz, what happened?'', he hugs me while asking me worriedly. He is grown taller. And I somehow looked shorter than him. I didn't say anything. I don't want to tell anything to him. I just wanted to cry in someone's arms. Charles tap my shoulder softly.

After that, he brought me to a park. We sat on the bench there and didn't say a thing. I know Charles wanted to ask me many question but he kept quiet to give me some time to calm down.

''Sorry, I was carried away'', I started slowly.

''Jessy, what happened?'', he finally asks me.

Even though we are 6 years different in age, he used to call me by my name than using ''siz'' word. He is my little brother who always understand me well.

''Nothing'', I said shortly. Charles let a sigh. He knows that I won't easily express my problem to anyone even if they are my siblings.

''Ok fine, I won't force you to tell me. But tell me when you feel like that one. Now, let us go to the amusement park and play some thrill rides OK?'', he encouraged. I just nodded. I need some time to clear my mind.
