Chapter 27: Choose

Jessy POV

I opened my eyes and I saw Edwin who sat right in front of me. He sat while crossed his legs on the single couch and faces me. I was still in the living room. I try to move but couldn't. Then, I realized that I was tied to a chair.

''Well, well, well... seems like my princess has woke up.'' Edwin said it while looking straight to my eyes.

''E...Edwin....'', my voice break.

When I turned around, I see Alivia who is kneeling down at the cornered side. There are two guys besides her. Her mouth is taped and her hands were tied up behind. Tears flow down to her cheek after see me. I don't know how long she sat like that.

''So, you missed me, dear?'', his voice snapped me out.

He didn't move. He stares at me and seem like waiting for something. Just then, I heard someone run inside the hall.

God, Jay... he is here. He looked pale when he sees me and Alivia.

''Welcome to the show, brother'', Edwin smirked when he sees Jay. 

He uncrosses his leg. Now I know why he is waiting. He is waiting for Jay. He stands up and walk toward Alivia. His men surround Jay, block him to move forward. Alivia looked scared after see Edwin. Edwin grabbed Alivia's hair in his fist hand and pull her up. Alivia cried out loud.

''don't touch her, damn it'', Jay scream.

Edwin turned to see Alivia. He smirked.

''You should know the consequences of staying with her, man'', he smiles cynically while pointing me. 

Jay glances at me. His eyes tell me that he looked so worried and tired. Edwin suddenly slap Alivia. Jay get angry. He steps forward but suddenly one of Edwin's men punch him. He fell down.

''Jay'', I called his name worriedly.

''Don't move if you don't want me to kill her now'', Edwin threatened him again.

''Let me give you one option.'', Edwin started. 

Jay lift up his head and see stare at Edwin coldly.

''Choose. Your sister or her'', Edwin asked. 

I was shocked.

''If you let her go, you can save your sister but if you still stubborn and want to be with my girl, you will have to face your sister's death.''

''You have 10 seconds to decide and your time starts now'', Edwin said while looking at his wrist watch. 

God, I never thought that this will happened. I don't want to make him lost.

''my sister'', Jay's words snapped me. I looked at him but he doesn't see me. He bowed down his head. 

''Wow, not even two seconds, you decided whom you want to choose?'', Edwin looked slightly shocked. But he laughed later. I couldn't blame Jay for his decision. I wanted him to choose Alivia too. I lower down my head.

''don't be sad, dear. I just wanted you to know that you chose a wrong guy. He won't care about you like how I care about you. Why you always choose other guy than me'', he grabs my chin and pulling it up so I could look in his eyes.

''Edwin.... Why you doing this? Why you don't understand my feeling. I don't love you!!'', I yelled to him.

''Do you know how much I loved you, baby?'', his tone suddenly changed to serious. 

He slapped me enough to make me fell with the chair I was tied. I cried out pain.

''Edwin, don't be such coward!!'', Jay raised him voice.

''SHUT UP!! I know what I'm doing. She is mine and I will do it in my way to make her realize my love for her.'', Edwin shot back. He pulls the chair back to its place. He leans down to see me.

''I was survived. I came to see you but you left the house. I searched about you when I found you, you are hanging out with him? Where is your promise Jessy? You told me that you won't leave me. Even if I die, you should only think about me!!'', Edwin yelled.

''I never stop thinking about you, Edwin.'', I told him. 

Edwin see through my eyes. I can see a pleasure in his eyes. 

''I regret for stabbing you. I never intend to do that. I'm so sorry'', I cried. 

Edwin cups my cheeks.

''Oh dear, It's not your fault. It's that bloody detective's fault. He brainwashed you. I never blame you'', Edwin's voice changed to soft.

''We were happy back then. You accepted my love. Let's start our life anew Jessy'', he plants a soft kiss on my forehead.

''I just regard you as my brother, Edwin'', I told him. His expression changed after heard my voice.

''I accept you back then because I feel pity for you. I can't see you in different way'', as I finished my words, I felt a strong fist on my cheek. Again, I fell with the chair I was tied.

It's pain like a hell. He never hit me but now, I saw a different person. I closed my eyes while groaning in pain.

''You will forget about everything. I will make you forget about everything. You will be with me forever.'', he said as he kicked me again and again.

I hear Jay's voice. I felt his touch. .... But it slowly fades as the darkness covered my mind.
